  • The results from the NSW Women in Construction survey are now available. The survey received over 1,000 responses from construction workers and businesses, throughout June and July 2024. • The holiday season is just around the corner, but not everyone has the means to spend a hefty amount on gifts. Fortunately, there are plenty of ways to bring a smile to those around you this season that are truly priceless 🎄 Volunteering is always a great option, whether it’s helping out at a local community lunch or visiting an aged care home to chat with those who have no Christmas visitors. You can also host a gathering at home, bringing people together over a homecooked meal and spend quality time together. The best gifts aren’t found on a price tag, they come from the heart. • This holiday season it's important to prioritise your mental wellness. The festive season can bring joy, but for many it can also be a challenging or lonely time. It’s a great idea to check in with yourself and be mindful of how you spend your time. Disconnecting from technology, reading a book, going for a walk, connecting with loved ones, or setting boundaries are all ideal ways to ensure your mental health matters. The holiday period is Lifeline's busiest time so if you know someone who lives alone like a neighbour or friend take the time to check in on them. Our Women's Financial Toolkit is designed to empower women at different stages of life, including those who have recently arrived in NSW as migrants. This resource provides essential financial guidance, tailored to meet the unique needs of migrant women.
