Today is Staff Shout-Out Saturday! 🌟 We’re delighted to celebrate Browyn, one of our dedicated Support Workers, who has been making a difference in the lives of our clients for an incredible 14 years! 💚💙 Bronwyn began her journey in community care after 19 years in the city, inspired by her neighbour’s love for working with older Australians. Since then, she’s brought care, compassion, and reliability to every client she supports. We’re honoured to share the incredible journey of Olivia, a Support Worker at the myHomecare Group. Olivia is not only a dedicated team member but also a courageous survivor of Stage 3C1 Adenocarcinoma Cervical Cancer. 💜 💪 After an 8-year gap between Pap smears, Olivia faced the devastating news of an advanced tumour. Thanks to timely intervention, including chemotherapy, radiation, and brachytherapy, she achieved NED (No Evidence of Disease). However, her journey hasn’t been without challenges, as she continues to navigate the long-term effects of treatment, including early menopause. Olivia’s story is a powerful reminder of the importance of regular health checks. She passionately advocates for early detection, urging all women to prioritise their health: “By the time you experience noticeable symptoms for cervical cancer, it’s usually advanced. A few minutes of discomfort during a Pap smear could save your life.” Her bravery in sharing her experience has inspired many, and we’re proud to stand by her as she raises awareness and empowers others to take control of their health. 👏 Thank you, Olivia, for your strength, advocacy, and unwavering commitment to making a difference. Our thoughts are with all those in our community who have been impacted by this disease.
