Meet Thibault Vanweydeveld, Our Facilities and Asset Manager for Australia & New Zealand! Known to everyone as Thibs, his journey with SSP Australia & New Zealand began in Western Australia in June 2022, where he managed our portfolio in Perth, focusing on delivering solutions and building strong relationships with teams and stakeholders. Originally from Belgium, Thibs moved to Australia in 2010 for a one-year break after obtaining his bachelor’s degree in Business Management and International Trade. However, his plans changed when he started working as a bartender and discovered a passion for hospitality. Over the years, he progressed through various roles, eventually landing leadership positions. This journey sparked his interest in operational excellence and provided him with valuable insights into the importance of well-maintained assets and seamless operations, ultimately paving the way for his current role in facilities and asset management. Now based in Melbourne, Thibs brings a strong focus on process improvement, collaboration, and maintaining high standards for SSP’s facilities across the region. He believes that well-maintained facilities and assets not only create a positive environment for team members but also ensure a great experience for customers. Thibs thrives on working with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, solve challenges, and implement practical solutions. His approach is rooted in teamwork, attention to detail, and a commitment to contributing to SSP’s vision of being #thebestpartofthejourney. Fun Fact: Thibs is a hands-on dad who loves spending time outdoors with his children. Whether it is a trip to the park, a weekend adventure, or simply exploring nature, he takes every opportunity to create lasting memories with his family.
