It was great to have our field staff from across the country to Melbourne for technical training. Best of all was networking with colleagues, sharing our experiences, participating in field demonstrations, and experiencing all the elements thanks to the Melbourne weather. #Senversa

Our Melbourne office was thrilled to host Bill Verhagen, from Precious Plastic Melbourne, for a plastics recycling workshop. We delved into the pressing issue of plastic waste, the challenges of recycling, and the precious plastics global movement. The highlights? Seeing small shredder and extruder machines in action, crafted from Precious Plastics' open-source plans, as well as Bill’s enthusiasm. We transformed old bottle caps into functional items like pens and carabiners—talk about recycling magic! Feeling inspired, our team is more committed than ever to reducing, reusing, and recycling our plastic waste. Here's to making a difference, one plastic shred at a time! ♻️ #Senversa #Recycling

We can all feel it, climate change is driving up temperatures across Australia, especially in the southwest and southeast, and causing more frequent periods of below-average rainfall. Rising temperatures and harsher droughts are pushing Australia’s wastewater treatment systems to the brink, with more concentrated pollutants and dangerously low flows. At the same time, shrinking rainfall and soaring evaporation are wreaking havoc on our rivers and streams, while extreme rainfall events risk catastrophic sewage overflows. For this Friday's webinar we’re joined by Carolyn Brumley, a respected Senior Principal Scientist at Senversa. Dr. Brumley is a technical expert in assessing the impacts of chemicals on human health and the environment, with over 27 years of experience in environmental consulting, research, and regulation. She’ll be discussing why we need to pay closer attention to the risks that treated wastewater might pose to receiving waterways as climate change continues to unfold. WEBINAR DETAILS: Date: Friday 15th November Time: 12:30pm Online with Zoom Free registration here 👇 : #environmentalmonitoring #webinars #climatechange #wastewater
