What an amazing year it’s been! As 2024 draws to a close, we’re reflecting on an incredible year of growth and impact at #SeenCulture! ✨ Thanks to you, our community, we’ve achieved milestones that bring us closer to our vision of a world where everyone feels seen. This year, we secured $1M in pre-seed funding, which has allowed us to make significant strides in product development. 🚀 We’re also thrilled to have welcomed industry leaders like Atlassian (Young Li) and Culture Amp (Aubrey Blanche-Sarellano) and high growth innovators like Leonardo.Ai (Ellie Miller) and EngineRoom (Nicholas Clancy) to the SeenCulture customer community! SeenCulture 2.0 took centre stage this year, offering a BYO framework experience designed to make feedback engaging and insightful, empowering individuals and teams to understand their unique strengths from a variety of perspectives. This has been reflected in the feedback we’ve been getting from our users leaving users such as “After engaging in this process, I feel more confident in my abilities and feel like i need to trust in myself a little more”. We are so proud that our users have been letting us know that they have been feeling a mixture of positivity and constructive self awareness after engaging with us! Plus! SeenCulture 2.0 also allows users to access their insights instantly … no wonder we are seeing 92% adoption rate and a 7.5x user multiplier on peer reviews. This growth underscores our belief that prioritising diverse thought, perspective, and experience leads to success. When we focus on strengths, impact, and potential, we create truly inclusive and high-performing cultures. Looking ahead, we’re particularly enthusiastic about goal-setting functionality designed to empower teams to effortlessly set and achieve their goals based on honest, 360-degree feedback. Imagine the possibilities when everyone’s voice is heard and celebrated! 🌱 We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished in 2024, and we’re heading into the new year with even more energy to create a world where everyone feels seen and empowered. What are you most excited to achieve in 2025? Let’s create the future, together. Want to see how SeenCulture can help you and your team? I don’t typically identify as someone who has a lot of privilege. But it’s important to recognise the circumstances when we are. What’s captured here is one of those moments for me. Because I felt that my perspective was valued. My voice.  In this conversation.  Amongst these influential leaders.  On a topic I’m deeply embedded in. Was valued. I wasn’t asked to speak from the perspective of being an underrepresented founder. Instead, when we prepped for this panel, Didier asked me to offer my perspective based on my actual realm of expertise: 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗽𝘀𝘆𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱. TLDR: to intrinsically motivate your employees, meet their three basic psychological needs (Self Determination Theory): 1️⃣ Autonomy: give them agency and flexibility over how/when they do their work.  2️⃣ Relatedness: create an environment where people feel connected to the people and purpose of your organisation  3️⃣Competence (or Mastery): provide them opportunities to play to their strengths and fulfil their potential — Not everyone has the opportunity to experience what it‘s like to feel valued for your perspective. I wish they did. It’s a big hairy audacious goal. But I’m determined to pursue it. Intrinsically motivated to shine a light on untapped potential. Thank you to my fellow panelists: Amy Glancey, CoS at Atlassian, @Philippa Watson, CEO of ubank, Jess Blomfield, Head of People & Culture at Airtree, and Didier Elzinga, CEO of Culture Amp. Also grateful to the other speakers who made me realise the extent of this privilege, the attendees who saw potential in what I’m building, the people who gave me the opportunity to be seen. Very exciting news for the Australian tech sector! A number of leading organisations have united with the Tech Council of Australia to launch the T-EDI Standards. These benchmarks offer a framework to drive change in gender equity within the tech sector and provide a pathway for companies to achieve and exceed their Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI = DEI) goals. 🚀 Why the T-EDI Standards Matter With technology rapidly transforming every sector, Australia has a unique opportunity to foster an inclusive tech workforce. The industry currently faces a significant gender gap, with women making up just 28% of the workforce despite representing half of the working population. The T-EDI Standards define best and leading practices across each of the known systemic DEI markers that specifically address the underrepresentation of women as well as providing a framework which participating companies can use to measure, meet and exceed DEI goals. 📈 Driving Economic Growth Through Equity and Innovation Backed by the government’s billion-dollar Digital Economy Strategy, Australia is investing in areas such as quantum tech, AI, and cybersecurity to position itself as a digital leader by 2030. The thriving startup ecosystem—home to giants like Canva and Atlassian—shows how pivotal tech has become to the Australian economy, already contributing $167 billion annually with projected growth to $250 billion by 2030. The launch of the T-EDI Standards serve to help accelerate women’s participation in Tech careers, foster inclusivity and innovation and capitalise on Australia’s Tech industry to create a collectively better world of work for all. 💡 Needless to say, SeenCulture is proud to be a partnered with TED-I Standards! Founded by the incredible Emma Jones 🍉 of Project F and supported by a stellar team of advisors and ambassadors including Aubrey Blanche-Sarellano, Roo Harris, Dr Varina Michaels, Lavinia K., Jakub Zverina, 💼🧚♂️ Vinisha Rathod, Laura Ford, Amanda Anderson, Eglantine Etiemble, Chenoa Stockton & many more.
