We're the approachable workplace experts

About us

As Australia’s leading interior fitout and refurbishment company, we are a business built on delivery, trust and ongoing service – three essential pillars of genuine partnerships and long-term relationships. We think big and act small - we’ve got the experience and resources of a large business, but the service philosophy of a small business. Our delivery is tailored to suit your specific requirements and project outcomes. As a partner and not simply a contract, we are involved in all aspects of project delivery, including managing design consultants, deriving optimised value management, coordinating documentation and seeking statutory approvals. Our service is end-to-end, incorporating on-site construction, facilitating handover documentation and providing the occupancy certificate at practical completion. This service also extends to post practical completion client care, meaning support across our works throughout the warranty period and beyond, should you require it.

Following the success of previous collaborations on standout projects like Grill Americano and Society, MPA was once again engaged through single selection by Lucas Restaurants; this time to transform a cold shell tenancy into an inviting Mediterranean restaurant complete with al fresco dining. This marks the group’s first venture in Canberra.   Chris Lucas, founder of LUCAS Restaurants, described his experience working with MPA on Carlotta, saying: “They [MPA] are trusted partners that understand my vision and work tirelessly with my team to deliver the highest quality projects every time we collaborate with them.”   The space features a long dining room, where various seating options include high stools set along the marble-topped bar, offering guests a clear view into the bustling open kitchen. Key design elements include striking green tiles, charming half-curtains, and an impressive wine cellar display that will transport diners to the heart of the European coast. We believe that a lobby serves as the gateway to a building, setting the tone for everything that lies beyond. At 680 George Street, we collaborated with Brookfield and Arcadia Funds Management Limited, along with our partners Altus Group, Hames Sharley, NDY, GROUP DLA, and TTW, to reimagine the lobby into a dynamic, welcoming space that reflects the vibrant energy of Sydney’s World Square precinct. Creating the right first impression, this space marries functionality with visual impact. The collaboration pods and open seating areas encourage people to gather, making this space not just a passage but a destination. A key feature of this project is the focus on sustainability, with existing stone columns preserved using steel structures and wrapped in timber panelling to blend heritage with modern elegance. With 25 remarkable years behind us, we gathered on Wednesday night under the sparkling lights of Sydney Harbour to celebrate an incredible 2024. Surrounded by our valued partners, subcontractors, clients, and our amazing team, we raised a glass to toast the achievements and relationships that have made it all possible. Hosted at the spectacular Pier One, the night dazzled with our Shimmering Nights theme, the silver motif perfectly complementing our 25th anniversary. MPA Account Director, Troy Clancy, said it best, “It’s these relationships – grounded in trust, collaboration and shared ambition – that have allowed us to turn big ideas into reality. Tonight, we celebrate not just a milestone but the people who’ve made it all possible.” Here’s to another amazing year in 2025. #partnership #BringingLifeToWork #celebration #relationships

We were proud to be one of the award sponsors of the NAWIC NSW - National Association of Women in Construction Awards NSW at the ICC Sydney, bringing together three tables of our team and partners to celebrate the remarkable contributions of women in construction. Our very own Paul Clark presented the award for Achievement in Construction, Refurbishment and Fitout, going to Brie Ranchhod, for her incredible contribution to the multi-staged refurbishment project of the Children’s Hospital at Westmead. For 16 years, we’ve supported NAWIC and its mission to drive inclusion and excellence across the industry. At MPA, we are deeply committed to fostering a thriving, inclusive workforce. With industry-leading gender representation and pay parity, we’re proud to have achieved: o  32% of leadership roles filled by women, o  50% of recent promotions awarded to women, and o  a pay gap well below industry and national averages, as confirmed by our WEGA reporting. Thank you to NAWIC for 16 years of partnership and for championing diversity and excellence in construction. Congratulations to all the 2024 winners—together, we’re building an industry where everyone can thrive. #WomenInConstruction #MPA #BringingWorkToLife #Inclusion #Leadership Sarah Hogan, Andrew Gunawan, Johnny Iosifidis, Matthew Jones, Kristen Madigan, Shauna Corr, Samantha Pearson, Georgia Kalisperis, Stephen Strangio, Shaun Bradley, Trent Chapman, Michele Di Giorgio, Troy Clancy, Shehani Weragama, Chris Jameson

We’ve been on an incredible journey with Holding Redlich over the past couple of years, supporting their office rejuvenation across Australia. With Sydney and Melbourne completed to high acclaim, we’re moving on to Brisbane and Canberra. We began with their Sydney workplace—because why start small? Built by us, designed by Hassell and delivered alongside Acuity and Aston Consulting, the Sydney office spans an impressive 4,000 sqm and features double-height ceilings. A standout feature of the space is the repurposed half-Olympic-sized pool transformed into a vibrant staff breakout and town hall area. Complemented by a stylish café, the design captures Sydney’s iconic outdoorsy lifestyle with a refreshing, pool-inspired aesthetic. Following Sydney’s success, we ensured Melbourne’s space would have its own unique, local character. Built by us and designed by Woods Bagot, the Melbourne workspace spans two floors, connected by an interconnecting staircase and featuring a custom tram element. The team in Melbourne transported the skeleton of a tram to the site and sourced custom fittings and unique pieces to complement its distinctive frame. We’re excited to continue strengthening this partnership and look forward to building more dynamic workspaces that reflect Holding Redlich’s national identity. A huge congratulations to our twelve MPA legends who took on the Tour de PIF VIC last weekend! After months of training and fundraising, our cyclists hit the road from RACV Healesville for an incredible ride through the beautiful winding roads of the Yarra Valley. We’re so proud of the team for smashing their fundraising goal and raising an amazing $7,293! We want to thank our generous industry friends and supporters for chipping in to help make a difference for homeless youth. Together with 41 other teams on the day, the Property Industry Foundation has raised an incredible $196,000 so far. There’s still time to get behind this great cause—donations are open until the end of November! You can support the team here: https://lnkd.in/dthFjp34. Continuing our partnership with The Work Project (TWP), we were selected to deliver a third project on Arthur Street in North Sydney. The project included floor fitouts, incorporating meeting rooms, breakout spaces, AV coordination, services installation, joinery, finishes, and phone booths with fire services. The coworking space at Arthur Street offers TWP’s tenants both flexibility in options and a beautiful modern design with elegant finishes. We are proud to have brought this project to life in collaboration with Evolved Engineering, The Work Project and GROUP DLA.
