It's been a year of growth, connection, and meaningful design, and we’re excited to continue building on this in 2025. Our studios will be closed for the festive season from 𝟮𝟬 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 and will reopen on 𝟲 𝗝𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱. During this time, we’ll be reflecting, recharging, and looking forward to the new opportunities the year ahead will bring.     Shaping the Skyline: A Multidisciplinary Approach to Luxury Living on the Gold Coast Exciting news for the Gold Coast! Two iconic towers are set to redefine the skyline, including the exceptional 35-storey luxury tower at 56-60 Sunset Boulevard, Surfers Paradise – proudly designed by our architecture and interior design teams at MODE. The Sunset project is a true example of being CONNECTED By Design – our multidisciplinary approach seamlessly brings together architecture and interiors to create spaces that are refined, functional, and deeply connected to their surroundings. With 74 premium residences, including the spectacular 2,239sqm Ultra Penthouse, every detail has been thoughtfully crafted to elevate coastal living to new heights.     Gold Coast Sky High: Two New Luxury Towers Announced! Two ambitious luxury projects look set to be added to the skyline and those seeking coastal living on the Gold Coast, with a total of over 130 high-end apartments planned for the iconic locations in Surfers Paradise and Broadbeach. Surfers Paradise: A $500M 35-story Tower YHY Group has unveiled plans for a 35-storey tower at 56-60 Sunset Boulevard. Designed by MODE, the building will feature 74 opulent residences, including a show-stopping tri-level “Ultra Penthouse” spanning an incredible 2,239 sqm. The penthouse will include five bedrooms, two staff quarters, a private pool, spa, sauna, and gym, alongside multiple entertainment spaces. Residents will also enjoy two recreation floors with resort-style amenities like pools, yoga spaces, and even a golf simulator. Broadbeach: 37-storey Modernist Elegance Mosaic Property Group continues its Broadbeach expansion with a 37-storey tower at 22 Mary Avenue, designed by Elenberg Fraser. The development will house 59 residences, including spacious three- and four-bedroom apartments and three luxurious penthouses. Amenities such as a pool, wellness areas, and green podium spaces highlight the focus on refined yet functional living.     MODE: Redefining Law & Order and Secured Environments Design The Waikeria Corrections Facility redevelopment is set to reshape New Zealand’s Law & Order infrastructure. Scheduled for completion in 2025, the Waikeria project will provide an additional 600 beds. At MODE, we’re proud to play a role in redefining custodial spaces that prioritise safety, operational excellence, and meaningful rehabilitation. Facilities like Te Wai o Pure —a 100-bed dedicated mental health facility providing the Hikitia culturally and clinically effective addiction services—illustrate the continuation of a progressive and human-centred justice system, blending cultural sensitivity with advanced design strategies.     🏟️ Celebrating the Completion of Barton Park Sports Precinct, NSW 🌿 We’re excited to announce the successful delivery of the Barton Park Sports and Recreation Precinct in Banksia, NSW!   This multidisciplinary project seamlessly integrates Landscape Architecture, Architecture, Wayfinding and infrastructure enhancements to transform the site into a vibrant and activated sports and recreation hub.   The state-of-the-art facilities include FIFA-standard natural turf soccer fields, grandstand, tennis and multi-purpose courts, new clubhouse buildings and 1,600m2 adventure play space—creating an activated 12Ha open space precinct for sports, recreation, and community events.   Designed with user experience and community at its core, Barton Park features improved pathways and through-site connectivity, enhanced road access, extensive new tree and understorey planting, with sustainable design elements that respect and protect the local ecosystems, wetlands, salt marsh and adjacent waterways.   The new parkland is a prime example of how thoughtful, integrated design can elevate community spaces, providing a welcoming and exciting environment for athletes, families, and visitors.   A huge thanks to the talented team who made this vision a reality! 🙌   For more information about our Sports & Recreation projects, reach out to our dedicated sports architecture team: Dion Gosling OLY - Sports Architect, Greg Barker, and Max Weston.     $23.1 million Beenleigh Aquatic Centre upgrade is underway! This project is funded through the $285.8 million SEQ Liveability Fund, one of 29 commitments being delivered under the SEQ City Deal, with Logan City Council investing $13.4 million alongside contributions from the Australian and Queensland governments of $4.85 million each and is expected to open in mid-2025.
