It's been a big 12 months here at Minerva. On Friday, to celebrate the year that's been, we went VR gaming at Zero Latency VR followed by an incredible dinner at Rockpool Sydney! Our team of legends has been able to find the fun (one of our core values!) in everything we do and we couldn't be more proud of our team's expertise in delivering so many amazing projects this year. Thank you, team, for an awesome 2024 - here's to an even better 2025! Harley Whaikawa | Eliot Reeves #team #culture #proud #firesafety

The Queensland team takes their team lunch seriously... So seriously in fact, that they've set themselves an ambitious challenge: 𝐒𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭, 𝐩𝐨𝐩-𝐮𝐩 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐯𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐞 🥙🥘🍜🍕🍱🍝🍔 And not just the CBD either - that's just the first area they plan to conquer. After they do that, they're heading out to the burbs to continue their quest! To really get serious about this mission, they've just had a map of Brisbane delivered which is getting mounted on a cork board with pins going in each location visited to mark their progress! The most recent venues hit as part of this mission are: → Wu Kong Kitchen & Bar → Cobb and Claude → Mr Wabi → Little Red Dumpling → Rothwell’s Bar and Grill → Red Hook → Maru Korean Restaurant → Hato Gyoza and Grill → O Brasileiro → Storia on Queen → Santa Monica → Harajuku Gyoza Albert Lane → Chi Mc Resturant & Bar And yes, there's a 1-5 star ranking board too! --- One of our core values as a company is to 'Find the Fun' and we are always on the search for talented individuals to join to team to add to that fun. If a weekly company lunch paired with an ambitious foodie goal resonates, reach out as we have positions coming up in both QLD and NSW as we continue to grow. --- And of course - if you have any recommendations of where we lunch next next, let us know in the comments! #findthefun #culture #team #lunch Harley Whaikawa | Eliot Reeves | Luke Mumford

Sure, your stadium can handle a grand final... but can it handle a Taylor Swift concert? Or a Medieval Fair? Event overlays are the secret ingredient to giving a stadium the long term flexibility it needs to be able to handle events of all kinds - both now and into the future. Below we've shared our expert tips on how to incorporate event overlays into your next stadium project! #stadium #sportingground #firesafety Harley Whaikawa | Eliot Reeves

𝟒 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐮𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐧𝐞𝐱𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 🔥 If you’re an experienced project manager, you’ve no doubt worked on a lot of projects. You’ve probably worked with a lot of fire safety engineers too. But the fact is that fire safety engineers weren’t all created equal! When you’re choosing a fire safety engineering team, it’s not just about experience – it’s about how that experience translates into action. Here’s how our core values shape every aspect of what we do, and why working with us will mean you’re in good hands: 𝟏. 𝐃𝐨 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 (𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐢𝐭’𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐝) Fire safety isn’t a field for shortcuts or easy outs. With decades of experience and over 1,500 projects delivered, we’ve faced it all – straightforward solutions, complex challenges, and everything in between. What sets us apart? We’re committed to doing what’s right, even when it’s not the easy path. For us, that means finding solutions that aren’t just compliant but genuinely safe and sustainable for your project. 𝟐. 𝐇𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐲, 𝐚𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 (𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐛𝐞 𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐝) No one likes surprises in project delivery. We’re upfront, transparent, and direct – but we also know that kindness matters. Whether it’s a tough conversation or an exciting update, we communicate with respect and fairness. Because at the heart of honesty is a belief: good relationships build great outcomes. 𝟑. 𝐁𝐞 𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐭𝐨 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐝 (𝐢𝐭’𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞) Nothing frustrates a project more than waiting for answers. That’s why responsiveness is woven into everything we do. You’ll always know where things stand because we believe in keeping you informed and involved. Uncertainty doesn’t help anyone, so we work to remove it as quickly as possible – whether the news is good, bad, or somewhere in between. 𝟒. 𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐮𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐲 (𝐬𝐨 𝐚𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐛𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠) Fire safety is dynamic, and the best solutions come from those willing to learn and adapt. We thrive on technical challenges and are constantly refining our expertise. Complex projects? Unusual constraints? That’s our sweet spot. For us, mastery is a mindset – one that drives better outcomes every time. And let’s not forget: 𝐖𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐮𝐧 This work matters, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be enjoyable. Collaboration, creative problem-solving, and a bit of humour along the way make even the toughest projects rewarding. If this sounds like the kind of team you’d want to work with, let’s chat. We’re here to tackle your fire safety challenges with the expertise, integrity, and enthusiasm your project deserves. Eliot Reeves | Harley Whaikawa

It's not every day you get to stand alongside Aussie royalty! Our team was ecstatic to get the chance to work on 'Bluey's World' - a ground-breaking immersive experience that opened this month, exclusive to Brisbane, Queensland. Housed in its own purpose-built, state-of-the-art, 4000 square metre venue - ‘Northshore Pavilion’, Bluey’s World is located in Brisbane’s newest arts and entertainment precinct, Northshore. We took on the role of Fire Safety Engineer for the project - and our kids couldn't be more proud of us. Our Queensland team is looking forward to attending and seeing the brilliant work the production managers and teams on the ground have done to bring Blueys World to life! 𝟓 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐲 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮’𝐥𝐥 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐧𝐞𝐱𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 – 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐚 𝐩𝐫𝐨 🔥 It's been said that 'an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure'. In construction, this saying is worth its weight in gold. And when it comes to fire safety - it couldn't be more true! Planning ahead for potential fire safety challenges can mean the difference between a smooth build and costly setbacks down the line. We've highlighted 5 common fire safety problems we see – and, more importantly, how to solve them! #firesafety Harley Whaikawa | Eliot Reeves

𝐖𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐝𝐧'𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐞 - 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐰𝐚𝐥𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐢𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐲𝐰𝐚𝐲 🔥 Our Queensland team stepped into the flames last week - literally - at a Live Fire Experience Day with the Queensland Fire Department (QFD). As fire safety engineers, it's incredibly important that we gain firsthand insight into the realities of firefighting. Harley and Luke got to: → Navigate through a smoke-filled building - giving them a stark understanding of how disorienting it can be, even when you know the layout! → Experience the intense heat radiating from a fire compartment, witnessing just how rapidly conditions can escalate. → See fire engineering modelling come to life - while literally sitting below the upper smoke layer! Big thanks goes to the QFD team, especially Mick Conway, who coordinated the event and helped make it an unforgettable learning opportunity. And of course, a huge thank you to all first responders for your unwavering commitment to protect our communities. Your courage and skill play a critical role in keeping us safe, and it’s an honour to design fire safety solutions that support your efforts. #firesafety #queensland #builtenvironment #appreciation #learning #firefighting Harley Whaikawa | Luke Mumford | Eliot Reeves
