Against a backdrop of constrained new aged care building, Medical & Aged Care Group is proud to forge ahead with an expansion of our critically important Memory Care wing at Casey Aged Care in Narre Warren.

While high construction costs and workforce challenges impact the ability of the aged care sector to grow to meet future rising demand for aged care services, MACG has undertaken a multi-million dollar project to expand the Memory Care area at Casey Aged Care, located in Narre Warren. This significant build will contribute to meeting the specialised care needs of people living with Dementia within our community. The MACG Wellbeing Team Leaders got together to share information and hear about the latest initiatives and services to support peoples’ Wellbeing. Our teams are thrilled to see the positive impacts of our latest Technologies and Innovation projects – Abi the companion Robot, Teatime connection App, The Ciao! Project Interactive Screens and the Sensory Wizard. Appreciated hearing about the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme from guest speaker, Simran, Elder Rights Advocacy, and the latest updates from the recent Care Expo Melbourne.

On Daffodil Day, our home communities helped raise awareness and $1,500.00 in funds for the Cancer Council. This year our teams, residents and families were invited to donate online or join in the home’s fundraising. Hamper raffles, yellow outfits, beautiful cupcakes, and bunches of daffodils featured at our Special Daffodil Afternoon Teas.
