We're a Farmer-driven organisation specialising in RD&E for NSW, VIC & SA's low-rainfall Mallee region. 🌾
About us
After more than 20 years, Mallee Sustainable Farming Inc has developed a well-recognised reputation for the quality of our research, our engaged membership and the shared value created from our collaborative research partnerships. Proudly farmer lead, MSF exists to assist farmers to adopt even more efficient and profitable farming systems in the low rain fall, sandy soil Mallee region across four million hectares in Victoria, South Australia and New South Wales through excellence in research and extension. MSF Inc. was formed in 1997 in response to a recognition that conservation farming practices had not been widely adopted across the region and to address the need to identify the issues restricting the adoption of technology that would enhance the development of profitable and sustainable farming systems. The Mallee has approximately 2000 dryland farming families whose farming activities include cropping (wheat, barley, vetch, lupins and canola) and livestock (sheep for wool, lambs and cattle for meat). Membership of MSF is free to Mallee farmers. Visit MSFP.org.au to sign up.
