But competition for pet-friendly properties can be very high. So how can you make sure you and your pet stand out? One way is to include a pet resume with your application. A pet resume can help owners and property managers get to know your pet and make a decision about having you (both) as tenants. Some things to include in your pet resume could be; - Basic details: name, breed, age, microchip and registration details, and a photo - Rental history and references: any rental history of your pet and relevant references from vets, previous landlords/property managers, dog trainers, pet sitters etc. - Health and behavioural characteristics: training, temperament, obedience - Care measures: pet's activities (eg. how much you walk then), pet-proofing the property and providing adequate general care.
