City2Surf action! Along with 90,000 others, I participated in the City2Surf. It was my 2nd time joining the 14km run. Despite not feeling 100%, I managed to score a PB of 1 hour 22 mins! Leading up to it, I was also asked to cover and write a story for the Diocese of Parramatta who had an #activeforvocations team fundraising to support young men in their journey to become priests. NAIDOC week - July 2024 National NAIDOC Week celebrations are held across Australia in the first week of July each year to celebrate and recognise the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. This year the theme is 'Keep the Fire Burning - Blak, Loud and Proud'. I was asked by the Diocese of Parramatta to cover the NAIDOC celebrations yesterday at the Holy Family Parish in Emerton. The event was well-attended with entertainment, rides, stalls and free food and drinks on offer. Such a beautiful gathering of Aboriginal people, elders and the community!
