Hi everyone Do you want to support PTTR Ltd? Did you know that we receive no government funding - either federal or state? Philanthropic grants and donations are our primary means of support. :) So here are 3 ways you can help make sure we can keep on supporting over 100 PTTR communities across Australia! 1) Make a personal donation through our Justgiving page. They will provide you with a tax receipt, or follow the link on our website. www.paintthetownread.info 2) If your organisation would like to make a donation, contact me at bb@paintthetownread.info, and I can issue you an invoice and/or tax receipt. 3) Buy a ticket/s in the 2024 People First Community Lottery with the total value of your lottery ticket/s coming to Paint the Town Read! We just need to sell the tickets. Tickets are only $2 each and you go into the draw for a chance to win one of 52 prizes worth over $300,000. The lottery is funded and run by People’ First. Sports have long been a beacon of hope for individuals from less privileged backgrounds, offering a pathway out of poverty and into a brighter future. Through sports, young people can develop valuable skills like discipline, hard work, communication skills and teamwork, which can translate into success in all areas of life. Moreover, sports can provide a sense of belonging and identity, helping to boost self-esteem and confidence. By supporting and investing in sports programs such as scouting, tournaments for underprivileged youths, we can help level the playing field and empower them to achieve their full potential. By doing so, we can help break the cycle of poverty, take crime out of many and unlock a brighter future for generations to come. why are we preaching this? Funding Support Available for Sports Facilities Impacted by Storms 📢 Community organisations affected by Storms Bert and Conall can now apply for support through Sport England’s ‘Movement Fund’ to recover quickly from flood and weather damage. Announcing the beginning of the MAD Church. What is the MAD Church? Great question. Have you ever wanted to belong to an organization that focused on serving others exclusively - an organization that makes a difference - where all your contributions go toward the benefit of others? This is the MAD Church mission. Too often we hear, "I would love to contribute, but all churches are in it for the money" or "I don't know what the church is doing with my contributions" or "There are so many poor examples in the church; I don't trust anyone". In some cases, sadly, these statements are all true. How about finding a different view of the church? MAD stands for "Make a Difference". We see something completely different in how Jesus ministered to people in the Bible compared to what we see in the world today. In the Bible, we see Him serving the people first and foremost. After the people were served, then He spent time teaching the people. This is exactly the mantra of the MAD Church: Serve First, Speak Second.
