At Indara, we’re proud to support the "Love Is" Tech Abuse Awareness campaign led by the Telco Together Foundation in partnership with eSafety Commissioner, uniting the telco industry to take action to combat Domestic and Family Violence (DFV). Technology should empower us, not be a tool for harm. Yet, tech-based abuse is an all-too-common form of coercive control which is almost always a factor in DFV. We recognise technology and telecommunications can be both a lifeline and a tool of abuse for those experiencing DFV. Our participation in this campaign reflects our commitment to raising awareness and driving change to create safer, connected communities. We are delighted to announce that Indara’s Domestic and Family Violence Adapt Action Plan is now available to view via the Telco Together Foundation Website. This Adapt Action Plan reaffirms our original pledge, made in March 2022, to continuously improve the DFV support and training we provide to our employees, as well as continues our collaborative industry effort to raise awareness of DFV. Thank you to Telco Together for uniting us as an industry on such an important topic. Aussie telcos take action against Domestic and Family Violence (DFV). Indara have recently completed their Adapt Action Plan Report to demonstrate their commitment to supporting their customers and employees affected by domestic violence. "At Indara, we understand the role that the Telecommunications industry plays in both providing support as well as contributing to the increased risk of domestic and family violence (DFV) to victims/survivors. We therefore recognise our responsibility to create a Domestic and Family Violence Adapt Action Plan that allows us to reflect on our current practices and policies for Domestic and Family Violence. In recognition of the role we play in the Telecommunication industry and the role the industry plays in DFV, we believe through educating our employees on DFV, we can contribute to an increased awareness of DFV within our communities." - Cameron Evans, CEO, Indara. This report reaffirms their commitment to continual improvement to support not only their customers and staff but also to illustrate the role of the wider business community in embedding a person-centred and trauma-informed approach in the delivery of products and services to best minimize harm where possible. 👏 Submitting a DFV Report to the Telco Together Foundation marks the completion of steps stipulated in the DFV Action Framework. The Framework provides a structured process for any Australian telco, regardless of size or type, to develop an Action Plan with an integrated approach to addressing this abuse through policy, strategy, training, and greater awareness about Tech Abuse. 🤝 By taking the DFV Pledge, telcos are making a commitment to continuous improvement, which includes submitting an Annual Update. Reports and updates are signed by the telco CEO and checked for completeness against the full required criteria by the Telco Together Foundation. 💡 For information on how you, as a telco, can get involved, contact Carin Lavery via carin@telcotogether.org or visit industryimpacthub.org #EndDV #CommunityImpact #TelcoTogether #FamilyViolence #DomesticAbuse #ImpactHub #SocialImpact

New obligations for developers by the Federal Government! 🚨 The Telecommunications in New Developments (TIND) policy is a federal document that provides developers with guidance on infrastructure requirements for new residential estates. It also informs steps to be taken by states and territories to strengthen their planning regulations. The Federal Government recently made significant amendments to the policy. For the first time, mobile telecommunications connectivity has been identified as an essential service, especially in new residential developments exceeding 50 allotments. These changes are one of the first steps in the Australian Government’s plan to improve mobile connectivity in new developments and growth areas. The government now expects developers to consider mobile connectivity as part of the overall development application process, with a similar level of importance as other utilities such as water, electricity and sewage. But what does this mean for developers? And how can Indara help you navigate these new requirements while accelerating a digitised future for our communities? Here are the top 4 ways partnering with us ensures you meet the new TIND obligations. Learn more and enquire here: https://lnkd.in/gazJMAkt We will be in touch within one business day to discuss your specific needs and guide you through the next steps. #PropertyDevelopers #TIND #MobileConnectivity #DigitalInfrastructure #PropertyDevelopment Alan Bennett Nick Meadows Patrick Kerruish Richard S. Today marks a monumental milestone for Structel, a proud subsidiary of Indara, as we celebrate 30 years since Structel first opened its doors on August 22, 1994. Over the past three decades, Structel has set the standard in the assessment and design of infrastructure, delivering unparalleled management of tower capacity ensuring seamless access and upgrades with minimal cost and delay. This achievement would not have been possible without the vision and dedication of the original Directors of the company Colin Capewell, Tony Di Guglielmo, Jim Georgiadis and Herb Gallina. Roger Carter was also a founding team member of Structel and has played a pivotal role. Following the acquisition of the company in 2013 as Executive Engineering Manager, Roger has led our team to provide industry-leading engineering services becoming Head of Structel in 2022. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Roger. Here’s to 30 years of expertise, innovation, and service excellence – and to many more ahead! 🚀 Congratulations Structel team - Roger Carter, Alison Port, Alan Bennett, Tony Tang, Srihari Bindiganavile, John Bartlett, Anthony Cafarella, Ali Reza Mostafavi, Don Bojinovic, Tony Dang, Maria Sague, Mohil Kotak, Jennifer Qin, Jason Huang, Swee Foo Ong, NAVEEN MADDINENI, Edith Sailer, Avijit Aich, Milad Abolfazli, Kirk Christakakis, Kevin Alexander Sindarto #Structel30 #Indara #Infrastructure #EngineeringExcellence #Innovation #MilestoneMoment
