This week representatives from Hypersonix Launch Systems Ltd engineering team, Andrew Dann and Thorne Hanna-Spain, attended a showcase evening for the UQ School of Mechanical and Mining Engineering Major Design Course ENGG4552. This year Hypersonix sponsored a final year team to build a Variable Heat Flux Test Rig capable of testing flight materials up to 2,000 C. The rig allows the heat flux on test coupons to be varied by precise management of the distance of an oxy-acetylene torch from the test coupon to simulate flight trajectory heat loads of a hypersonic vehicle. We’re very pleased with the results and congratulate the team on their sensational efforts! We are pleased to announce that Hypersonix Launch Systems Ltd has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Southern Launch to accelerate hypersonic test bed services to the global aerospace industry from Australian soil.   Combining our expertise in hypersonic aircraft and scramjet propulsion with Southern Launch's unique geography and range services, this partnership is the first of many expected to join this collective hypersonic test program over the coming months.   The collaboration demonstrates the strategic alignment between both organisations, aiming to streamline hypersonic testing and launch capabilities in Australia.   Read more in our joint media release https://lnkd.in/gi6VG_23   #hypersonics #scramjets #southaustralia #queensland #sovereigntechnology

On Sunday several Hypersonix Launch Systems Ltd team members competed in the annual #BridgeToBrisbane run / walk along the city's iconic Brisbane River. This year saw a record 35,000 participants. No records from #TeamHypersonix but lots of friendly rivalry.
