So, what does success mean to you? I was having this conversation with a colleague yesterday and one thing we both agreed on, it is such a big question and means different things to different people. Success is multi faceted. It’s personal. It’s ours. It’s whatever it means to us, nobody else.......so don’t get caught up in the hype of believing you aren’t successful if you haven't yet achieve something . There are many ways to be successful. Deciding and Wishing might seem like they’re cut from the same cloth, but let me tell you, they’re as different as night and day as I was reminded this morning on one of our monthly Personal Development group sessions. When you DECIDE to do something, you're putting a stake in the ground. You're saying, "This is happening, no ifs, ands, or buts about it!" It's like flipping the switch from dreaming to doing. You're committed, you're determined, and you're ready to roll up your sleeves and make things happen! However.... WISHING, well that's a whole different ballgame. Wishing is like sitting back and crossing your fingers, hoping & praying that somehow, magically, things will fall into place without you having to lift a finger. Here's the thing......You can wish for success all day long, but until you DECIDE to take action, nothing’s gonna change. Decisions are where the magic truly happens.
