Every year, we continue to build towards our vision of the renewable energy future for Australia, but in 2024, we picked up some serious momentum. Here's what we got up to: 1️⃣ We officially launched Flow Home – our smart residential electricity plan, designed to empower households to be part of Australia’s renewable energy transition. 2️⃣ We celebrated 3 new renewable projects coming online this year, including Riverina Oils Energy Project, Cootamundra Solar Farm and Newstead Community Energy Project. 3️⃣ We’re thrilled to be the recipient of some amazing awards this year, a credit to our fantastic customers and the hard work of our specialist team. 4️⃣ We announced the Pathway to Electrotechnology program - an initiative in partnership with Tauondi Aboriginal College to improve First Nations training and employment within the energy sector across South Australia. 5️⃣ We unveiled an exciting new partnership with GRIDSERVE GLOBAL, to deliver an Australia-wide public network of ultra-fast EV chargers, known as the Flow Power Highway. 🔗 Read the full wrap up here: https://lnkd.in/gFCv5wkS

🐑 Michell Wool is a sixth-generation family company, processing and exporting wool for more than 150 years. Flow Power has been powering its processing facilities since 2018 through a Power Wholesale electricity contract. This plan gives Michelle Wool access to energy prices direct from the wholesale market plus the power to respond to real market conditions. 🔎 Throughout November, NSW & QLD experienced significant price volatility 🔸Prices exceeded $10,000/MWh on 7 days in NSW and 5 days in QLD, totalling 4 hours and 2.5 hours respectively.  🔸 This was driven by transmission outages, coal unit outages, and high demand caused by hot weather. 🔸The impact of these tighter supply and demand conditions led to average prices in NSW increasing three times the October average, and 2.5 times higher for QLD.  🔸The southern states had much lower prices in November, with average prices in VIC and SA approximately one third of the prices in NSW and QLD. ⚡ Flow Power is accelerating its ability to help transition Australia to a cleaner, greener future through an exciting new partnership with GRIDSERVE GLOBAL - a GIGATONS group company. The partnership will see the companies deliver an Australia-wide public network of ultra-fast EV chargers commencing in 2025. 🔌 The state-of-the-art EV charging network, to be known as the Flow Power Highway, will set a new benchmark for charging infrastructure in Australia. Flow Power has secured development approval for a new solar and battery project in Monarto, South Australia 🔋☀️ The approved site, one of four nearly identical projects planned for construction in the next 12 months, will feature a 5 MW solar farm paired with up to 15 MWh of battery storage. Once operational, the project will supply renewable energy while supporting the local grid during periods of peak demand.
