Earlier this year, one of our WA ESS sites was lucky to have a visit from Master Chef's Brendan Pang. In collaboration with our talented Chefs, Brendan created a Chinese Street Food feast for our residents at a huge scale, with 300kgs each of chicken, beef and pork and, in Brendan's words, "more fried rice than I had ever cooked in my life." As part of our 2022-2025 Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), we have seen exceptional engagement with our Indigenous Cultural Awareness Training Program across all areas of our business. This year alone, we've trained over 430 people, sharing insights into the rich cultural practices of the world’s oldest living cultures, fostering inclusive environments and supporting allyship. Training is delivered through a blend of face-to-face and online sessions, facilitated by both First Nations experts and Traditional Owners. Subjects include general awareness of First Nations history in Australia, local nuances, and historically significant information about Country. Additionally, we explore culinary topics such as centuries old bush tucker, the importance of preserving native ingredients and showcasing there amazing health benefits.
