In the festive spirit of celebration and connection to nature, our CEO, Dr Phil Ireland, had the honour of gifting Tread Softly a jar of honey harvested from the Yarra Yarra Biodiversity Corridor. This gesture reflects the incredible efforts to restore this unique landscape. 🌿 Tread Softly has reached an extraordinary milestone by planting 2 million trees in the Yarra Yarra Biodiversity Corridor. Their dedication to biodiversity, wildlife conservation, and land restoration has seen native species return to their natural habitat. 🐝 Bees play a vital role in pollination and maintaining healthy ecosystems. This honey serves as a reminder of the life supported by the trees and habitats we’ve helped rejuvenate in this remarkable region. We’re proud to celebrate this meaningful partnership and our shared commitment to creating a healthier, nature-positive future. • Most people don't realise the environmental and health risks of traditional plastic gift cards. The simplest solution isn't always the most sustainable. Here's what's happening👇 🛍️ Annual plastic gift card production generates approximately 585,300 tonnes of CO₂ - the equivalent of over 125,000 return flights between Sydney and Melbourne. These cards, typically made from polyvinyl chloride (PVC), pose significant environmental and health risks. Digital gift cards offer a more sustainable solution by eliminating plastic production and reducing carbon emissions. Understanding the environmental impact of everyday items is the first step towards more responsible consumption. • 🌏 Wrapping up an impactful #AERSummit! This year’s Australasian Emissions Reduction Summit brought over 900 leaders together to tackle Australia’s climate challenges and pathways to a just, sustainable future. Our team was proud to be there, including our CEO, Dr. Phil Ireland, who participated in critical discussions on just transition and social licence. From inspiring talks on Indigenous-led climate solutions to calls for greater policy clarity, the summit emphasised that climate and biodiversity crises are interconnected, and solutions must address both. Minister Chris Bowen’s announcement on new carbon credit methods marks a meaningful step forward, underscoring the importance of integrity and urgency in carbon markets. Carbon Neutral is committed to advancing this essential work and supporting initiatives that uplift communities, protect nature, and drive decarbonisation. https://hubs.ly/Q02X3s8g0 Thank you to everyone who contributed and supported this event. Tread Softly Partners with Carbon Neutral to Make a Lasting Impact on the Planet. At Carbon Neutral, we are proud to be part of an incredible journey with Tread Softly as they continue to make meaningful strides in sustainability. Since 2019, Tread Softly has been planting a tree for every case of wine sold, resulting in an impressive 2 million native trees planted in the Tread Softly Forest 🌳 Located in Western Australia's Yarra Yarra biodiversity corridor, the Tread Softly Forest has regenerated over 1,200 hectares of land that was once cleared for agricultural use. With more than 50 native species planted, the forest is rapidly becoming a haven for wildlife, with hundreds of native species returning to their natural habitat. Together, we are creating a healthier, greener future for Australia and beyond.
