Christmas has come early for some of our teams with our Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) asset investment program officially kicking off this week with the arrival of six new assets in New South Wales and Victoria. These six WesTrac Cat machines represent the start of Boral’s significant investment in our HME portfolio, with orders placed for more than 140 new assets and the start of over 50 asset rebuilds. From May to August next year, there will be an average of 30 new HME assets arriving on Boral sites across Australia each month. We know our site teams are ready to welcome this new era of enhanced equipment capability which will deliver greater reliability and sustainability for our teams and our customers, well into the future. #BuildingSomethingGreat

We’re proud to announce our role as the exclusive construction materials supplier to the Black Rock Motor Resort, Australia’s first multi-million dollar driving circuit and luxury resort at Lake Macquarie, near Newcastle. Built on a rehabilitated and repurposed former coal mine at Wakefield, the 252-hectare world-class facility will be constructed using our sustainable and recycled materials. Penrith Beach has reopened for its second season but did you know it was, as part of the Penrith Lakes network, once part of the largest sand and gravel quarry in the southern hemisphere (responsible for producing 80% of Sydney’s building supplies)? It was great to have over 40 officers from the Queensland Department of Environment, Tourism, Science and Innovation at our Tichum and Ormeau Quarries last month as part of the practical element of the Department’s Erosion and Sediment Control Training. We believe that by working together we can lift erosion and sediment management standards and compliance across the construction industry. #BuildingSomethingGreat #environment #sustainability

We're incredibly proud of our young artists at Boral, who have wowed us with their artistic takes on why safety is important. We received more than 230 entries in our popular Kids Safety Calendar competition – with a selection of those artworks featuring in our exclusive employee only 2025 calendar (hitting mailboxes soon). With the holiday season just around the corner, here’s a timely reminder from our talented kids about the importance of being safe. #safety #BoralSTAAR

In case you missed it: EME2 asphalt incorporating 15% RAP (reclaimed asphalt pavement) has been laid by our NSW asphalt team on a one-kilometre section of Pittwater Road in as a part of Boral’s involvement with “Connect Sydney” on the Sydney Roads Asset Performance (SRAP) contract in the harbour zone. In a first for NSW, RAP has been incorporated in the EME2 asphalt mix in line with a Transport For NSW (TfNSW) approved concession for the project works. EME2 asphalt also enables reduced asphalt thickness in comparison to conventional dense graded asphalt in structural base course mixes in full depth asphalt pavement design, making it a more sustainable product. The work could open the door to further road-paving projects in NSW, resulting in more sustainable roads. We’re very proud of our involvement in this Australia-first initiative, reusing end of life solar panels in concrete. #circulareconomy #sustainability #innovation
‘This kind of initiative is really important because we are keeping resources in use.’ In an Australian first initiative, North East Link tunnels contractors Spark North East Link Tunnels D&C are building on research conducted by the University of Melbourne and working with Elecsome Pty Ltd. and Boral to help build a circular economy by reusing old solar panels in concrete. So far 43 solar panels have been used in a test pour of 14 m3, with more planned across our tunneling sites. Learn more from Jessamine, Dean and Neeraj 🎬

Teamwork is one of our values and it was at the forefront of work done by a group of our employees who came together to support Central Queensland’s long-term water security through their involvement in the Gladstone Area Water Board’s Fitzroy to Gladstone Pipeline (FGP). The team of additional Drivers, Batchers in Charge and Area Managers from Cairns, Townsville, Mackay, Rockhampton and Agnes Waters supported our Gladstone team to deliver more than 100 truckloads of concrete, from batching plants in Gladstone and Calliope, over two 12-hour days.
