Sticking to your lane - a neat flow of traffic heading places. In the heart of Glen Huntly, #BluePeakConstructions was contracted by @GlenEiraCityCouncil to enhance pedestrian, bicycle, and vehicular safety at the busy intersection at Royal Avenue and Woodville Avenue. The project involved upgrading drainage systems, constructing new splitter islands, and building a 400m2 raised concrete platform with a brick stencil design. The #BluePeakConstruction team recently completed the Seaford Road shared path project for #FrankstonCityCouncil - under the supervision of #VicRoads. This project included the construction of thirteen Department of Transport-standard drainage upgrades, as well as widening of a shared user path along Seaford Road. On completion there was approximately 1,000m of new kerb and 1,000m2 of footpath. To complete the works, new line markings and pedestrian fencing to enhance cyclist safety near the creek - the works overall providing the Seaford community safer access to the nearby beach. The objective of a raised #splitterisland is to keep the community safe by slowing down vehicles on our roads, and separating cars travelling in opposing direction.
