🌿 Give a Sheet for the Planet®, Record-Breaking National Recycling Week! 🌿 To celebrate #NationalRecyclingWeek, BlockTexx® teamed up with Noosa Council, Sunshine Coast Council, and City of Newcastle, Australia Council to hold three Give a Sheet® for the Planet events in their communities.    More than 900 cars and Utes loaded up with end-of-life sheets, towels, and pillowcases flowed through the drop-off points across the three sites. By the end of the day, records were broken, with more than 11,000kg of end-of-life household linen donated. Another industry leading initiative between ELK and BlockTexx with the support of Australian Fashion Council (AFC).    Solving the textile waste crisis won't be solved with more reports, but simply fashion brands and technology partners rolling up our respective sleeves and getting on with it.  

Having be born and raised in Birmingham, I never thought I would win an award there! Congrats to whole BlockTexx team and our partner Datasker for continuing to develop and use technology that increase transparency, tracability and trust in the recycling sector. Thanks to the whole team at Professional Clothing Industry Association Worldwide Ltd (PCIAW®) for two great days of education, dialogue and connections.
