Better Living Group is proud to be an Industry Partner of Housing All Australians. We are deeply committed to the mission of Housing All Australians, an initiative that speaks to one of the most pressing issues of our time: affordable and accessible housing for all. This is not just a social issue—it’s an economic one, a moral one, and a nationwide challenge. As a business, we believe this cause aligns perfectly with our core values. Safe, sustainable, and affordable housing should be a reality for every Australian. We cannot afford to sit back and wait for change—we need action, and we need it now. The private sector must be part of the solution. Together, we can build momentum and create lasting change for generations to come. By supporting Housing All Australians, we are not only advocating for better housing policy, but also working towards a future where everyone has a place to call home. #HousingAllAustralians #AffordableHousing #BetterLiving #IndustryPartnerships #PrivateSectorAction #HousingForAll #InclusiveCommunities #Sustainability #TakeActionNow
Our industry partners have generated $7.5 million in pro bono building materials, furnishings, professional skills and services to transform accommodation at no cost to the government. Housing All Australians is the conduit between businesses that care about homelessness and tangible projects on the ground. We’re not filling our bucket; we’re the charity helping other housing charities create housing faster. You can have a multiplier effect with us; unlocking new housing projects and having a collective voice in all Australian states and territories. As we celebrate our second year supporting My Room Children’s Cancer Charity, we reflect on what a humbling experience it has been. At Better Living Group, we are proud to partner with organizations that genuinely embody their mission and have a heartfelt commitment to their cause. Our journey with My Room has allowed us to meet some remarkable young people courageously facing childhood cancer. Their resilience and bravery inspire us every day and remind us of the importance of being part of something greater than ourselves. Together, let’s keep making a difference and help give cancer the boot! #BetterLivingGroup #MyRoom #GivingBack #Community #ChildrensCancerSupport Silvio Mazzei, Dino Mazzei, Peter M., Sebastian Giacchi, Jake Mazzei, Margaret Zita OAM, Maurizio Marcocci GAICD

Meet Silvio Mazzei, Executive Director of the Better Living Group a family business, one of our value-aligned partners, and the builders on our Emerald Street project. Emerald Street is a fantastic example of what happens when value-aligned organisations come together with a common purpose. Silvio shares with us what motivated him and his team to join Housing All Australians and refurbish the 29 empty apartments, and why he believes that if we all play our part, we can help Australia steer a course towards ending homelessness. Silvio’s team, along with numerous suppliers and contractors, are the reason why we, the private sector, can help reshape Australia’s housing crisis. Interested in joining our mission? Our team took part in pro-bono works to ensure 31 single adults facing homelessness, had a place to live. Only six months ago, the Victorian government deemed this South Melbourne apartment block too expensive to renovate - even though there is a public housing shortage. By rolling our sleeves up - we created change. #homelessness #Melbourne #BuildingMelbourne #ConstructionMelbourne #BetterLiving #HousingCrisis #SafeHaven #ChannelNine
As featured on A Current Affair last night, together with our partners, Better Living Group and South Port Community Housing Group, we're celebrating the completion of our Emerald Street refurbishment. With more than $700,000 in pro-bono works, the 31 units providing long-term, affordable housing to single adults facing homelessness. Working alongside people like Silvio Mazzei, the Better Living team and all our Emerald St partners (RMIT University, Quest Apartment Hotels, Linen House Australia, Dulux , Plantfulness - Gardening for Good, Interface, GWA Group Limited) is a wildly positive and motivating experience. "We need to get behind this problem, we need to fix it as an industry and collectively, I believe we could do that," he said. "There's only one way to help and that is to roll your sleeves up." Great job HAA .--Mirvac This is how we can fix the Homelessness problem, getting together as an industry rolling up our sleeves and getting it done.
HAA is proud to be partnering with Mirvac and Bridge It to refurbish 12 existing studio apartments in St Kilda, owned by Housing First Limited, to provide a safe home for young people at risk of homelessness. This project combines Mirvac’s commitment to social sustainability with HAA’s focus on utilising empty buildings as a short-term response to Australia’s housing crisis, allowing Bridge It to provide young people exiting out-of-home care with a new home, a community, and the support to thrive. Work is due to start shortly on this exciting project, and if you would like to get involved in the St Kilda project, or future projects, please get in touch with mirvac@housingallaustralians.org.au.

Better Living Group reposted this
Last night we were filled with gratitude as we had the privilege of hosting members of the YPO YPO Australia/New Zealand at an event dedicated to understanding My Room Children’s Cancer Charity mission. Your willingness to listen and learn not only strengthens our resolve but also provides hope that these children and families do not feel alone on this journey. Every child deserves to live their best life and in the words of Helen Keller, "Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much. Special thanks to Garry Tanner and Jason Cain and Hudson Institute of Medical Research and to Jarrod Kagan for his unwavering commitment and dedication to making a difference. Thanks to Tomicka Brook and Alison Hardacre for helping us put this together. And to James who shared his journey and story with us. Thank you for reminding us that every day is a gift. Your courage and resilience continues to inspire me each and every day. #childhoodcancer #liveyourbestlife #charity #ypo #research #hope Mary McGowan Liz Hartland
There are people in the world who truly make a difference. People that are dedicating their lives for the greater good of everyone. There are also heroes that have been through hell and back but are still smiling. Who preach that every day is a gift…and to be grateful for even the smallest of things like waking up. Thank you so much to Margaret Zita OAM and Mary McGowan from My Room Children’s Cancer Charity for arranging the most incredible night filled with love, tears and perspective. Also to Jason Cain and the Hudson Institute of Medical Research for opening up on their ground breaking research into childhood cancer and the Incredible and rare technology that leverages AI to find a cure to this insidious disease. Really have to see to believe. Another brilliant YPO YPO Australia/New Zealand event #perspective #childhoodcancer #ai #machinelearning
