This morning, the IAAT National Conference brought together leaders from across Ireland’s adventure tourism sector at the Gleneagle Hotel in Killarney. The event highlighted Kerry’s unique role as a national stage for innovation, collaboration, and excellence in outdoor tourism. As the High King of Outdoor Adventure Tourism, Kerry provided the perfect backdrop for a day of inspiration and meaningful discussions about the future of the sector. Highlights from Day 2 included: 🎙 Opening remarks from Brendan Kenny (CEO, IAAT) and a welcome from Cllr Breandán Fitzgerald (Mayor of Kerry). 💡 Insightful updates from Colin Wolfe (IAAT Chair) and Eoghan O’Mara Walsh (CEO, ITIC) on the State of Tourism in Ireland. 🌊 Engaging panels with leaders such as Barry Flanagan (Erne Water Taxis), Clare Wheatley (Real Adventures Connemara), and Jamie Flannery (Dingle Sea Safari), reflecting on key challenges and opportunities. 🤝 Conversations on community, ecology, and culture, with perspectives from Fionn Kidney (Common Knowledge) and Prof Mary Cawley (University of Galway). 💻 Practical insights into AI for Adventure Tourism, presented by Ciaran Connolly (ProfileTree).
