What a great day we all had yesterday at the final Women in Biz +Tech Networking event of 2024 at The Station House Hotel. We celebrated women who are leaders in Tech and it was headlined by a woman who is as down to earth as you can meet. Now Head of Meta Ireland, Anne O'Leary has trail blazed her way to the top. A supporter of diversity and inclusivity, she was inspiring to listen to. After a gorgeous lunch, Kate Scott CEO and founder HoloToyz shared the story of their educational tech toys. Their growth globally is one to watch. We then focused on all things related to exporting thanks to Caitlin O'Connor, a mentor with the Local Enterprise Office Meath sharing some of her expertise in this area. I think it's safe to say we all left energised, happier, with new contacts under our belt and a fair few insights to take into our businesses in 2025. Our Elaine Keogh was MC and had the pleasure of chatting to the guests while Ciara Wilkinson recorded it all with her shiny new camera! See you at the next one in March! December is going way too fast! As we approach the end of another year people often reflect on how their business has grown, what they learnt, what they will do differently in the future. Well we are reflecting on another successful year of involvement with the Meath Women in Biz + Tech Network. It feels like preparing for International Women's Day in March, which was the first of our quarterly events, was only yesterday yet next week we will conclude the year. With the theme of ‘Celebrating Leaders in Tech' we are joined by Anne O’Leary, VP of Mid-Market SMB Group, EMEA and Head of Meta Ireland, Kate Scott, CEO and co- founder of HoloToyz and then we will hear from Caitlin O’Connor, who is a mentor with Meath Local Enterprise Office. The network is a collaboration between County Meath Chamber and Meath Local Enterprise Office and it is sponsored by Meta. Our Elaine Keogh will be hosting the conversations and Ciara Wilkinson, with her instinct for a memorable photograph, will be capturing the visuals. These women are leaders in very different companies and our Elaine Keogh is really looking forward to chatting to them at the event while Ciara Wilkinson will be capturing all the visuals. We are a female led company and as we approach the end of another busy and demanding year it crossed our minds that gifting yourself a ticket to this event is a good way to close out the year. The week since National Women’s Enterprise Day has flown by. It is good to be busy but it is equally important to make time for events like #NWED. To meet other women who are also wearing many hats and who are also juggling different demands on their time, is really nice. It can be the perfect pick me up when we are feeling the pressure!
