Reflecting on 2024, a year of remarkable achievements, and going beyond in 2025 – A message from Eoin Vaughan, CEO As the year comes to an end, I would like to take a moment to reflect on our incredible journey in 2024 and look ahead at 2025. This year has been filled with remarkable achievements and significant growth, all made possible by our people and partners’ hard work and dedication. Our clients and supply chain are crucial to our past and future successes. Our team has grown to over 2,500 employees, representing over 60 nationalities. This diversity brings unique perspectives and fosters innovation, making us a stronger, more resilient company. Mercury understands that our people are key to our growth, and we will continue to invest in their development. We have increased our operations across Europe, continuously delivering successes within the Data Centre sector and making great strides to further build our presence and footprint within the Life Sciences and Semiconductor industries. Our €25m investment in the OSM Schönebeck facility will enhance our operational capabilities across Europe, giving clients even greater confidence that we will always deliver. This year, we held our first supply chain event, “Beyond Partners,” which has allowed us to strengthen and deepen our relationships with our valued partners. 2024 has been a time of outstanding accomplishments, and with our dedicated team, we are poised for even greater success in 2025. I would like to express my gratitude to our clients and partners for their support and collaboration, and we look forward to working with you in the years ahead. CSA Engineer Adina Ciubucciu notes that what has stood out most about Mercury since joining is the “collaborative and inclusive culture that can be seen and felt directly on the projects.” Having joined the Frankfurt team in June she has “been given a very warm welcome.” “This has helped me adapt and made the process smoother. Everyone is very willing to help and share their expertise.” What drives Adina? “For me, what’s really special about working on this project is how rewarding it is.” Managing the project’s shell and core package, she enjoys “getting to see that your efforts matter and the tangible results they produce every day.” Originally from Romania, Adina previously gained experience in six other European countries, working on residential and manufacturing projects, but notes that “the collaboration and opportunities for development at Mercury are second to none.” With increasing opportunities across our sectors in 2025, Mercury is on the lookout for the best talent across Europe to make our teams stronger. Since joining almost three years ago, he’s relished the opportunity to enhance his technical skills as a CSA Engineer before gaining management experience in his new position. “I recommend Mercury because the fast-moving projects give you a great opportunity to become the best at what you do. Data centre projects are an amazing environment that the best engineers thrive in” he comments. What’s his favourite part of the job? “The mix of practical project work and developing your management skills, while leading our supply chain partners cultivates a solutions-oriented mindset, which I’m very proud of.” With increasing opportunities across our sectors in 2025 Mercury is on the lookout for the best talent across Europe to make our teams stronger. The Mercury team has raised an amazing €64,000 for Movember, securing the #1 spot in the Construction Challenge across Europe! 🎉💙 For the second year running, we’ve partnered with Movember, an organisation that works to raise awareness and funds for men’s health. With one man dying by suicide every minute and so many facing struggles in silence, especially in male-dominated industries, this cause hits close to home. This year, we set a target of €50,000, and we absolutely smashed it! United across European projects, Mercury team members took on running and swimming challenges, and hosted social events like quiz nights and bake sales. Every contribution, big or small, brought us closer as a team and closer to our goal and we achieved something truly incredible. Stronger together, we’re making an impact and helping to break the stigma surrounding mental health. Together, we can make a real difference. Tyrone Upton GMICE was drawn to Mercury by the chance to “work alongside Europe’s best on a complex and innovative project in Paris,” and hasn’t looked back since. He notes “it’s the dedication to precision, powered by a strong sense of teamwork” that sets Mercury’s culture apart. The Portsmouth native joined the company in August 2023 as a CSA Engineer and was promoted to the role of Package Lead earlier this year. “The pace is quick, and the standards are high but working alongside a team of experts every day empowers you to take hold of your career, I’d recommend anyone to make that leap. I’ve become a better leader and more confident in my skills during my time with Mercury.” With increasing opportunities across our sectors in 2025 Mercury is on the lookout for the best talent across Europe to make our teams stronger. At Mercury, we believe in the strength of our diverse workforce, and recently, our teams across Europe came together to celebrate the cultural richness that makes our company unique. To honour the power of different perspectives and highlight the importance of belonging for our collective wellbeing, Mercury teams hosted a series of cultural diversity events at project sites. As part of the celebrations, teams organised Lunch & Learn events with Q&A sessions where colleagues were invited to bring dishes from their native countries. These gatherings offered a wonderful opportunity for everyone to share their culinary traditions, sparking lively conversations and fostering deeper connections among teams from different cultural backgrounds. By embracing the diversity of our workforce, we continue to create an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued, respected and an important part of the team. It’s through these shared moments that we build strong, united, and best-in-class teams at Mercury.
