Engineering Service Provider to the Telecommunications and Utilities Sectors

About us

KTL was launched in 1998 by founder and director Tony Killarney, and in the last quarter century has grown into an industry-leading business, servicing blue chip clients across the telecoms and power sectors. The company has expanded vastly since its inception, progressively entering new and more complex areas of the telecoms and power sectors, and now employing more than 600 people right across the globe. Since the beginning, the people who have worked for and with KTL have made it what it is. Each person in the wider KTL team understands the business goals with respect to our clients, the environment and each other. The agile, innovative, and reliable company that stands today is a result of that, and we couldn’t be more grateful or proud of all those who have been with us so far. While a lot has changed in KTL in the last 25 years, the ethos has remained the same. Total commitment to getting the work done, finding a way to get it done right first time, every time with the highest standards of quality and service.

Bernard Downey, General Manager KTL Power commented, “At KTL, safety is our highest priority when we carry out works for our clients. We do our utmost to make sure our team members return home safely to their families every day. During the challenging conditions of Storm Darragh, we kept our safety procedures to the highest standard to protect our staff while delivering for the communities affected.”   Despite the adverse weather conditions and complex challenges on the ground, KTL’s teams worked tirelessly to restore power and relief to those affected by the storm.   Paul Gunning, Design Manager for Central & West at ESB Networks, expressed his appreciation: “Thanks very much to all your team for the assistance with storm damage. It was and is greatly appreciated. Special mention to Eric, Tina, and Jardao for all the patrolling they completed. #KTL recently participated in the Fastrack into Information Technology (FIT) event in Dublin. This inspiring event held at the Green Isle Hotel aimed to encourage young females to explore exciting career opportunities in the tech industry. The event brought together over 1,000 enthusiastic students, including Transition Year, Youthreach, and PLC students, to connect with leading companies like TikTok, Microsoft, Bord na Móna, HSE, Shein, Irish Air Corps, Garda Cyber Security Unit, and more. Attendees had the chance to engage directly with these organisations, gaining insight into the dynamic world of technology. For #KTL, this marked another year of active involvement in the event, empowering the next generation of women in tech. Our team valued the opportunity to connect with young talents and share insights about the industries we work in. Chloe Healy, HR Generalist attended this event and provided these two key takeaways: “Events like this help to actively motivate and empower young females to consider careers in tech. Engaging with students at this event helps us build a pathway to driving diversity and innovation in our business and within the tech sector.” We’re proud to have been part of this impactful event for the past two years and are excited about continuing this journey. Volunteering to support #SFAD alongside BT Group. At #KTL, we believe in the power of community and the importance of giving back. On Friday 8th November, we had the privilege of supporting Scottish Families Affected by Alcohol and Drugs (SFAD) alongside volunteers Alan Walker, Eddie Korzeniewski and Stephen Khan from our client BT Group.   Three members of our KTL team – Ava Kerr, Craig Bain, and Martin McWaters joined Allan, Eddie and Stephen to help paint the SFAD centre, transforming it into a brighter and safer space for the young people who benefit from their incredible work.   SFAD provides emotional and practical support to young people affected by family alcohol and drug use, offering a much-needed safe space where they can find support, build leadership skills, and make positive connections. Their dedication to improving the lives of vulnerable individuals is truly inspiring, and we are honoured to help make the centre a welcoming environment for the youth they support.   A big thank you to BT Group for inviting us to be part of helping such an important cause. We’re proud to stand alongside SFAD in making a difference, and we look forward to supporting more client initiatives like this in the future.   #KTL, #ConnectingCommunities, #Volunteering #CommunitySupport #BT #SFAD
