Time to recap a magnificent week last week, at our annual Fáilte Ireland Leisure & Luxury Roadshow, where we hosted 27 key influential Irish tour operators and DMCs around Ireland. The event included four B2B workshops with up to 2700 one to one meetings, providing valuable opportunities for collaboration. These operators collectively contribute over €800 million to Ireland’s economy annually, showcasing Ireland as a leading leisure and luxury destination to their international clients.
During the workshops, these 1:1 meetings offered tourism providers a valuable opportunity to grow their business by collaborating with 27 top Irish tour operators and DMCs. By highlighting Irelands diverse tourism attractions, activities and accommodation, the event aims to influence new travel itineraries for these high-profile operators, enhancing Ireland as a leading leisure and luxury destination.
The workshops were held at top-notch locations, a huge thank you Anantara The Marker Dublin Hotel Clayton Cardiff Lane Castle Leslie Estate Sligo Park Hotel Glasson Lakehouse for playing a crucial role in the success of our event.
We had an amazing time on four mini fam trips along our route. Highlights included a fun walking tour with Alternative Dublin City, an immersive introduction to Boyne Valley farms and food producers with Farm Tours Ireland Ltd, and a fantastic tour of the National Surf Centre and experiences Rebecca Stevens. We wrapped up the final few days with a delightful afternoon tea at Margaret’s Kitchen, a historical tour at Sean's Bar - Ireland's Oldest Pub and a scenic cruise upstream on the River Shannon with Viking Tours for our farewell dinner at Wineport Lodge.
A special thanks to the dedicated individuals who made this event a success, including Shona Mehan, Marlene Burke, and Deirdre Spillane from the Commercial Development team. Kudos to the Regional Programme teams in #Dublin Hayley K., #IrelandsAncient Marie McCormack, #TheWildAtlanticWay Siobhan King, and #IrelandHiddenHeartlands Marie Healy for their continued support.
Also a massive thank you to our Event Partner Ronan Flood CITP and Advantage Event Experts for their exceptional work in making the workshops a success for a second year in a row.
Excited for what 2025 has in store!
