  • Featuring the Patek Philippe Golden Ellipse 3548 in this week’s EveryWatch Analytics. The watch's iconic oval case, crafted from 18k solid gold, is designed with proportions inspired by the golden ratio, a mathematical concept dating back to ancient Greece that is often associated with natural beauty and harmony. The watch's manual-winding movement is celebrated for its precision, reliability, and ultra-thin profile, making the Ellipse incredibly sleek without compromising functionality. Developed during a time when quartz movements dominated the industry, it stands as a testament to mechanical watchmaking excellence. The latest auction for this model closed at an impressive $17.64K USD, far exceeding the 12-month median auction price of $7.02K USD. Dealer prices remain strong at a $11.25K USD median, showing just how much collectors continue to value this elegant piece. https://lnkd.in/gdYvBVpW Explore the full market performance of the Patek Philippe Golden Ellipse 3548 at EveryWatch.com. comm

  • Here are the results from Sotheby's "The GOAT Collection: Watches & Treasures from Tom Brady", which achieved an impressive 4.62 million USD in total sales with a 100% sell-through rate across 21 lots. Leading the auction was the very rare ROLEX Daytona 6241 with the “John Player Special” dial, selling for 1.14 million USD. This exceptionally rare variant of the Paul Newman Daytona is cased in 14K gold, instead of the more conventional 18K, and is considered one of the rarest versions of the Daytona. Its striking black and gold dial mirrors the livery of the Lotus Formula 1 cars sponsored by John Player Special in the 1970s, making it highly coveted among motorsport enthusiasts and collectors. Another standout was the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Flying Tourbillon 26730BC, which sold for 720,000 USD. Designed specifically for Tom Brady, its unique dial features his name set in calibré-cut baguette diamonds, replacing the standard indices, with the number seven in Roman numerals symbolizing his seven Super Bowl victories. The best-performing lots included IWC Schaffhausen watches, led by the Portugieser IW500701, which exceeded its estimate by 508%, and the Pilot IW389104, surpassing expectations by 460%. https://lnkd.in/gsJag-gf For full results and insights, visit EveryWatch.com. • Here are the results from Phillips "The New York Watch Auction: XI", which achieved a remarkable 29.9 million USD in total sales with a 100% sell-through rate across 173 lots. Leading the sale was the Philippe Dufour Grande & Petite Sonnerie, achieving 3.69 million USD. Out of just eight examples ever made, the present watch, No. 07, stands apart with its unique configuration, cased in white gold with an openworked dial. No other openworked Grande & Petite Sonnerie wristwatch has ever appeared on the market, making this an extraordinary piece of horological history. The F.P.Journe - Invenit et Fecit Grande Sonnerie Repetition Minutes, which sold for 1.75 million USD, also turned plenty of heads. This watch, never before seen publicly, features a special ruthenium dial which is the first of its kind to surface on this watch, setting it apart from other known examples that have typically featured black dials. The Dennison Watch Infinite Blue ALD performed exceptionally well, exceeding its estimate by 916%. Known for crafting cases for Rolex, Omega, and Jaeger-LeCoultre, Dennison relaunched as a watch brand in October 2024. This watch, a pièce unique, marks the beginning of the brand’s modern production. https://lnkd.in/gCsKkiGj For more highlights and auction insights, visit EveryWatch.com.
