What an incredible experience reconnecting with my fellow members of Nucleate Italy at Taranto Biotech Days! 🎉 It was inspiring to see our shared passion for #Biotechnology come alive through discussions with world-renowned Experts, Researchers, and Innovators. This three-day event truly embodied its mission of transforming #Taranto into a hub for cutting-edge research and health innovations, focusing on the future of next-generation cell therapies. Looking back, it feels surreal to think that back in February, this event was nothing more than an idea we discussed about.From those early conversations, we have worked tirelessly and now standing here in October, watching this magnificent event become a reality, is beyond rewarding. As a full-time student, contributing to a project of this scale was challenging but fulfilling: I'm incredibly proud of the hard work and dedication that went into making this happen. One of the most emotional aspects was witnessing the lack of barriers or boundaries between students and professors. They were driven by the same fire, the same passion for #innovation and #discovery, making it clear that this movement is for everyone, regardless of their role. A huge thank you to Guido Putignano for the visionary idea and to the exceptional organizational support from SafesPro - Scuola di Alta Formazione e Studi Specializzati per Professionisti and Fondazione Taranto venticinque, without whom none of this would have been possible. We are thrilled to share that, on May the 3rd, we hosted our “Inside Life Science Entrepreneurship” event. This panel made so many leading experts both from the start-up and academic world come together to share their insights and experiences on life sciences industry. Here are some highlights from our event: Academic Panel - Leonardo Ricotti discussed artificial and bio-artificial devices for improving quality of life, highlighting his research on technologies for regenerative medicine and artificial organs - Pierdomenico Perata addressed the challenges students face in transitioning to the workforce and emphasized the importance of university partnerships with external companies. - Cesare Stefanini, PhD illustrated advancements in surgery, focusing on engineered tissue fabrication. Start-Up & Companies Panel - Luigi Galimberti spoke about his startups, Beeco Farm and ToSeed & Partners, and the importance of investing in agritech startups and academic research. - Gianni Pampaloni engaged in a discussion about his leadership roles at Eli Lilly and the pharmaceutical industry. - Giuseppe Prisco shared insights on Medical Micro Instruments S.p.A and his journey in developing flexible-robotic devices, starting from Silicon Valley.
