Our Cayman colleagues were jingling all the way around the clock last Thursday as they assembled festive food parcels for Cayman Islands Meals on Wheels. Our CSR Committee once again donated non-perishable food items to be packed and delivered to senior and homebound citizens in Cayman. Local warehouse retailer, Cost.U.Less Grand Cayman, delivered the truckload of purchased items in the morning and were greeted by an enthusiastic group of Ogier volunteers. There was then a flurry of activity as over 30 volunteers unloaded, sorted and packed a record 250 bags filled with much needed food essentials and seasonal treats. We're proud to continue our year-round support of Meals on Wheels, which also includes Ogier volunteers delivering meals to seniors' homes three times a week. The Christmas food parcels initiative began with 75 bags and has grown to 250, underscoring the growing demand for the charity's services. We hope these festive parcels bring joy and comfort to their clients. Our amazing colleagues have been spreading some festive cheer across our offices, generously supporting local charity toy appeals to ensure that every child has a present to open this Christmas. In Cayman, for the 10th consecutive year, our team went on a seasonal shopping spree to purchase gifts for the annual "Toys 4 Tots" Charity Toy Drive and Ride campaign organised by the Cayman Islands Motorcycle Riders Association. Our UK colleagues also got into the seasonal spirit by donating toys to Family Action in support of the charity's Christmas Toy Appeal, as well as raising funds to further support the cause. In Guernsey, the Dispute Resolution team became elves for the day, supporting the Rotary Guernesiais shoe box appeal. They helped pack and check boxes filled with donations that have made their way to children in Moldova, Montenegro, Romania and Ukraine. In the BVI, a group of colleagues visited Peebles Hospital in Road Town to spread some seasonal cheer, distributing gifts to patients in the children's ward and singing Christmas carols to the children, plus the patients in the adult surgery ward. Finally, in Jersey, following a donation to Brightly Jersey to purchase gifts for 180 children who are in care and supported by the island's Children's Service, a team of festive helpers spent the afternoon wrapping each and every gift. We hope our contributions sprinkle some festive magic and bring joy to young people across our communities on Christmas Day.
