ESRIC’s activities are based on four main pillars: space resources research and development; support for economic activities; knowledge management and community management. The Centre, launched in Novembre 2020, is an initiative of the Luxembourg Space Agency (LSA) and the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology(LIST) in strategic partnership with the European Space Agency (ESA).

With the Technoport, ESRIC is happy to announce the selection of 2 companies from the 4th batch of entrepreneurs from the European Space Resources Innovation Centre (ESRIC) #StartupSupportProgramme to the phase 2 of our unique Incubation Programme dedicated to space resources utilisation and to lunar exploration technologies. Congratulations to: - Neamine (France): Developing cutting-edge solutions to deliver thermal energy on the Moon by concentrating sunlight to heat specific payloads (Thomas Delhon / Alexandre Meurisse) - Tumi Robotics (Peru): Developing actionable data with edge computing AI embedded in robots that explore, digitize, and prospect extreme environments on earth and the Moon (Francisco Cuellar) Their progress in the phase 2 of the Incubation Programme will highlight the presence of 2 new ventures dedicated to #ISRU in the Luxembourg space ecosystem (ISRU Cluster) and will both get a non-equity funding of 200,000€ and deep Technical and Business support from European Space Resources Innovation Centre (ESRIC), Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST), European Space Agency - ESA, Technoport SA and several experts to build their first prototype (MvP/PoC). 🚀 European Space Resources Innovation Centre (ESRIC) at Luxembourg Space Week Today, ESRIC participated in the 8th Global Moon Village Association Workshop & Symposium in Luxembourg, showcasing cutting-edge advancements in #lunar exploration and resource utilisation. During the panel on Ground-based Infrastructure Preparing Lunar Exploration Dr. Emma Cooney presented ESRIC’s Dusty Thermal Vacuum Chamber (DTVC), a key facility for simulating lunar conditions. Panel on Lunar Resources: Moderated by Kathryn Hadler, the panel featured: 🔹 Samuel B.D. C.
