  • Brands x URWGermany More than 15 new deals at #WestfieldCentro: implementation of further flagship formats and strengthening of branch mix! Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield Germany is once again strengthening the attractiveness of the shopping and leisure destination in North Rhine-Westphalia: for this purpose, rental areas of anchor partners are being comprehensively expanded to establish flagship formats and, at the same time, new brands are being brought on board to further diversify the product range at the centre. In this context, Westfield Centro is also announcing several market entries in Germany.   Among others, Stradivarius is opening a new store at Westfield Centro next year, while the other Inditex brands Bershka and PULL&BEAR are modernizing and expanding their rental areas. Meanwhile, the conversion of the new 6,000 sqm unit for the future Zara flagship store is in full swing. Other fashion anchors are also establishing larger and updated store formats, such as New Yorker, which will triple its size, and JACK & JONES, which will also modernize its space. With these extensive partnerships, Westfield Centro is strengthening its position as the leading destination for flagship stores and state of the art store concepts of world-renowned brands.   In line with the positioning and leasing strategy for the asset, URW has also concluded partnerships with trend-conscious and premium brands that strengthen the depth and diversity of the branch mix. For example, Motel a Miio, Le Creuset, Feature Stores, Glambou, Lounge, The North Face, UYN, CABAIA, Franky Brown Vintage and Verge Motorcycles have already opened stores or signed new lease agreements.   With The North Face, UYN, Cabaia, Franky Brown Vintage and Verge Motorcycles, URW has also brought on board partners whose business models, for example in the areas of production, logistics or sales, place a special focus on sustainability and corporate responsibility.   We are pleased about all new partners as well as the extended collaborations and look forward to all further Westfield Centro updates in the new year. For Polestar, it was the collaboration with Westfield Rise that transformed a temporary test-drive pavilion into a permanent showroom at #WestfieldRuhrPark in Bochum.   In 2022, the Swedish electric car manufacturer launched an innovative test-drive concept, supported by a comprehensive media campaign managed by Westfield Rise. The center's proximity to major roads and its excellent accessibility made it a magnet for visitors.   • Update Sheltersuit x URW We are very proud to announce that we have successfully concluded the joint initiative with Sheltersuit Foundation and local aid organisations in Germany and Austria for 2024!  Together we have achieved a lot: this year we have already been able to help more than 400 homeless people.   Engagement in numbers: - All in all, more than 800 Sheltersuits and -bags could be provided since the start of the cooperation in fall 2021 - From this year’s donations a total of 460 Sheltersuits- and bags will be distributed to those in need until January 2025 - 6,155 kg of waste and residual materials were upcycled - This has resulted in 6,778 hours of work at Sheltersuit Foundation’s factory where many former homeless people and refugees work - In 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 a total of more than € 200,000 in donations was collected from our customers, tenants and URW colleagues    These results from 4 years are a great success. We would like to thank everyone who supported us in our initiative with Sheltersuit Foundation. In view of the great need, this joint campaign is more important than ever.   Special thanks goes to Bart Nijsink and Paul Zurink from Sheltersuit Foundation as well as Ströer Media Deutschland GmbH who supported us to increase awareness for this important initiative and therefore increase the overall donations.   • Brands x URWGermany First PULL&BEAR in Leipzig! Inditex opened a brand new store of the young fashion brand at #HöfeAmBrühl in Leipzig a few days ago.   Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield Germany leases a total of almost 2,000 sqm at the centre in Leipzig’s inner city to Inditex. With PULL&BEAR and Bershka, the Spanish fashion company is opening two stores in attractive locations on the ground floor of the shopping centre, right by the main entrance. In this way, Höfe am Brühl will further increase the appeal of Leipzig’s city centre in the region. The opening of the Bershka store is planned for spring 2025.   Welcome to Höfe am Brühl, PULL&BEAR.   • #WestfieldRuhrPark - It has been a month since the rebranding of our shopping and leisure destination in Bochum, and we are still very excited about the success and the positive response from all our partners and the local community.   The big highlight of the rebranding event was the concert by singer-songwriter #NicoSantos. The 31-year-old Nico Santos performed in front of 3,000 fans who had successfully taken part in a ticket draw. Over the weekend, the centre welcomed the local community with a bunch of promotions and activations.   Just in time for the 60th anniversary of the centre, Westfield Ruhr Park is now one of the 39 Westfield flagship destinations in the US and Europe, a unique platform of the best shopping and lifestyle destinations that stand for exceptional brand and concept mixes, exciting brand experiences, emotional events, and marketing campaigns, as well as industry-leading services and sustainability standards.   • Continuous evolution: #PalaisVest celebrates its 10th anniversary with new and expanded partnerships and positions itself even more strongly as the linchpin of Recklinghausen's city centre! As part of the strategic positioning and ongoing evolution of Palais Vest, Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield Germany has further differentiated and upgraded the already attractive tenant and brand mix in time for the centre's 10th anniversary. The center is thus strengthening its central role as a shopping and convenience hub with a strong local supply character.   Internationally renowned brands and long-standing partners such as H&M, JD Sports Deutschland & Österreich, #Reserved (LPP Deutschland GmbH), Marc O'Polo SE, #OlympAndHades, Pandora, Thalia Bücher GmbH and #MediaMarkt (MediaMarktSaturn) enhance the centre's appeal and form corner stones in the tenant and brand mix. Additionally, and in line with the leasing strategy, new key partnerships have been concluded or significantly expanded: - The popular toy chain Smyths Toys Superstores has relocated within the centre and more than doubled its rental area from 730 sqm to 1,850 sqm. - The restaurant #AlCarbon, previously only located at Westfield Centro in Oberhausen, is now also providing culinary highlights in Recklinghausen with its high-quality steaks and fresh fish. - C&A has implemented its latest shop concept on a recently modernised rental area totalling around 2,500 sqm. - With #RiegelInterior, a company with regional roots is also realising an individually tailored concept: on almost 800 sqm, the store offers high-quality furniture.   • #Showtime at #PaunsdorfCenter: 30th anniversary – a great milestone on the way to an even more successful and exciting future! On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the destination in Leipzig, Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield Germany organised an event week which surprised the local community every day with a new show programme, stars and interactive event modules.   As part of the anniversary week, there was an opening get-together with invited guests from politics and local economy, three live cooking shows with TV chef Ralf Zacherl and historic fashion shows in cooperation with fashion retailers from the centre. BMX pro Dustyn Alt delighted visitors on a themed day centred around sport and e-sports, and various Leipzig sports clubs presented themselves in the mall. The Leipzig Icefighters also came with their entire squad to celebrate with us and their fans. On the weekend of the event week, a varied programme with local artists took place on the show stage. Highlights were the free pop concerts by LOI, Levent Geiger and LEONY – their concert on Saturday was attended by 4,000 fans. A total of almost 170,000 guests visited Paunsdorf Center during the anniversary week, showing that we are on the right track with our approach of positioning the asset as a unique shopping and leisure destination, especially for families, too. In this context, URW is currently further developing the centre strategically and, for example, concluded new anchor partnerships with Peek & Cloppenburg Düsseldorf and Leo's Abenteuerpark in the spring of this anniversary year.    Peek & Cloppenburg* B.V. & Co. KG, Düsseldorf is strengthening the centre's fashion profile and further differentiating the brand mix with a store covering 3,200 sqm of 7rental area. Visitors can look forward to an inspiring range of brand shops and high-quality exclusive brands. The opening is expected in spring 2025.   With #LeosAbenteuerpark, Paunsdorf Center is significantly expanding its leisure and family entertainment offer: a new indoor adventure world for children is being created on an area of 4,300 sqm.   • Successful rebranding to #WestfieldRuhrPark - shopping and leisure destination in Bochum becomes part of the Westfield network of Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield in Germany.   In the 60th anniversary year, URW is crowning the success story of one of the largest shopping and leisure destinations in Germany: Westfield Ruhr Park will be the third destination in Germany to bear the internationally renowned Westfield brand name, alongside Westfield Centro in Oberhausen and the development project Westfield Hamburg-Überseequartier.   The new brand name is associated with a quality concept that sets standards in the areas of lifestyle, shopping, dining and leisure activities. The rebranding took place on September 26, as part of a major event, matching the 60th anniversary of the centre, which was opened in 1964. The big highlight of the rebranding event was the concert by singer-songwriter #NicoSantos.   The 31-year-old Nico Santos performed his greatest hits in front of 3,000 fans who had successfully taken part in a ticket draw. The evening concluded with a spectacular show in which the old logo was ceremoniously replaced by the new one.
