𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘀: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗢𝗨𝗚𝗟𝗔𝗦 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽 𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗮 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝗬 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯/𝟮𝟰 We have completed another successful financial year with strong results and significant strategic progress. In a year marked by our historic IPO, we remained on track to achieve our ambitious targets, drove forward the implementation of our growth strategy “Let it Bloom”, and further cemented our position as Europe's leading omnichannel destination for premium beauty. We also finished the financial year with a strong fourth quarter. 📈 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵 In the financial year 2023/24, we delivered a remarkable 8.7% increase in Group sales to 4.45 billion euros, with like-for-like growth of 9.1%. This growth was driven by both our stores, which grew 8.2%, and our E-Com business, which went up 9.8%. Our adjusted EBITDA grew by 11.4% to 808.6 million euros, resulting in an improved margin of 18.2%. Thanks to a strong finish in the fourth quarter with a sales increase of 8.7% to 959.9 million euros, we have not only met but exceeded both our initial as well as our revised guidance for the year. 🌍 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝘆 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗸 On top of these strong results, we made significant strides in our growth strategy as well as in our ESG initiatives. For example, we successfully reached our 2030 target of having 80% of our Corporate Brands' products be vegan six years ahead of schedule. We were honored to rank # 1 in Forbes' "World’s Top Companies for Women" in the Retail and Wholesale category and achieved official certification as a "GREAT PLACE TO WORK" for the first time. And we successfully continued to reduce both our energy consumption as well as our Scope 1 & 2 emissions. “The outstanding results and strategic advances achieved this year demonstrate the resilience and strength of our business model as well as the incredible talent of our team. We are delighted to have both exceeded our guidance and to have made strong progress in our growth and sustainability strategies. Among the nominees on the shortlist: our Group Treasury Team, led by Thomas A. Woelk. The placement on the shortlist recognizes the strategic expertise of our team, which successfully mastered the complex financial challenge of covering the Covid pandemic financing and our IPO in March at the same time. Here are a few facts about the complex treasury transaction that the team implemented: ✅ The loan taken out amounts to 1.6 billion euros. ✅ The team developed an innovative financing solution by combining three different types of loans. ✅To successfully complete the process, the team collaborated with 15 banks at the same time. ✅ As a result of the refinancing and IPO, the DOUGLAS Group leverage ratio went down from 4.0x per 31.12.2023 to approx. 2.7x. This exceptional team performance, commitment and foresight have strengthened the DOUGLAS Group financially and positioned it for a stable future.
