CTI SYMPOSIUM - Automotive • Powertrain • Systems hat dies direkt geteilt
Back from the dead? ICE in passenger vehicles. This was the provocative title of today's panel discussion at the 20204 CTI SYMPOSIUM - Automotive • Powertrain • Systems in Berlin. Together with Dr. Norbert W. Alt, COO of FEV Europe GmbH, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Maximilian Brauer of Technische Universität Berlin and Markus Lienkamp of Technische Universität München we discussed the current development in the automotive industry. While we all agree that electric mobility and #efuels will play an important role in future we had diverging opinions in how to get there. Prof. Bauer and myself argued to use all options and give the choice to the customer. For that reason, we need to revise the current CO2 emission standards and include renewable fuels. On the other side, Mr. Alt emphasises that customers and industry can not afford to follow several tracks and require clarity on technological development. We could not solve that dispute but hopefully the audience has got interesting arguments for both positions. It definitely was entertaining. Thanks to Handelsblatt Media Group for the great organisation.
