💚 Hydrogen production in regions with fluctuating water quality and limited availability is a major challenge. Traditional reverse osmosis (RO) systems, while commonly used, require frequent maintenance and chemical inputs, especially in remote or offshore locations. Our innovative, distillation-based #waterpurification system offers a smarter solution. It operates autonomously, without the need for chemicals and requires minimal maintenance, marking a significant advancement in the production of ultra-pure water for #electrolysis. Designed for offshore use, the system integrates thermal and electrochemical processes. By combining mechanical vapor compression distillation (#MVCD) with an advanced anti-scaling system and electro-deionization, it delivers a more robust, #sustainable and low-maintenance alternative to traditional RO systems💧 #bosch #hydrogen #H2 #fuelcell #Ely Bosch Bosch Hydrogen Energy H2News – Das Wasserstoff-Portal Water Future Forum Fuel Cell & Hydrogen Energy Association (FCHEA)

  • Meet Vito De Gaetano, our Lead IoT Architect for the solid oxide fuel cell system (SOFC) at Bosch!🚀 Shaping the future with us since 2019, he has been driving the development of our #SOFC digital twins and constructing the core of our data infrastructure and pipeline 🛠️✨.    With 25 years of experience at #Bosch and a sharp focus on digital transformation, he and his colleagues have been instrumental in building our cloud platform. Vito’s vision focuses on achieving a resource-efficient #future for both present and future generations, with a strong belief that digitizing the hydrogen economy is a powerful booster—driving its success through faster and more efficient implementation. 🌍 #TeamBosch

    • Our digital climate game changer Vito.
  • Power and heat supply for critical infrastructure – the benefits of our pilot at the Erkelenz hospital: 👉 Hydrogen scalability: Our #SOFC system can already reduce CO₂ emissions significantly in natural gas operation. As the hydrogen content in the gas mixture is increased over time, even greater CO₂ savings can be achieved. 👉 Sustainable energy supply: This project advances the development of #hydrogentechnologies, showing the potential of hydrogen as a clean, efficient energy carrier. 👉 Reliability: Our SOFC systems provide a dependable and continuous power supply – especially crucial for critical infrastructure like hospitals, where power interruptions are not an option. In healthcare settings, such as hospitals, reliable and scalable energy solutions are essential to ensure that life-saving equipment functions without interruption. As Jessica Rama confirms: “Having a reliable power supply is essential for us here at the hospital." ℹ This pilot project is in collaboration with Hydrogenious LOHC and coordinated by the Helmholtz Hydrogen Cluster (HC-H2), based at Forschungszentrum Jülich, and is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung).

  • Every key needs a matching lock. 🔐 For us, that lock is #PEM electrolysis, which transforms ultra-pure water (H₂O) into #hydrogen – the key to a more sustainable future.    In simple terms, PEM electrolysis uses a proton exchange membrane (PEM) as an ion-conductive medium between the anode and cathode. When voltage is applied, water splits at the anode, releasing oxygen. The protons move through the membrane to the cathode, where they react to form hydrogen. 🧪   Our #Bosch PEM electrolysis stack produces up to 23 kilograms of hydrogen per hour with exceptional precision, even at pressures exceeding 30 bar. This compact and powerful solution is ideal for industrial applications, unlocking the path to a sustainable energy future.
