How are companies using AI to boost their incentives strategy? That’s the key question we’re answering in our latest report, produced in collaboration with Bloomreach. One of AI’s biggest benefits is managing personalized incentives at scale - using data points like browsing history and past purchases to deliver the right offer at the right time. This empowers businesses to move away from generic offers and provide meaningful incentives that resonate with their audience 🤝 Read the full report here: https://hubs.li/Q02-xbSP0

What are the Top 100 retailers up to on Black Friday? Check out this video for a pulse check on how the NRF Top 100 are structuring their #blackfriday promotional messaging. If you’re a fellow promotions nerd, it’s fun to click through and pause to compare different approaches. We can break down the playbook into these 7 categories (plus a few examples outside the NRF list): Doorbusters (Best Buy, Meijer, Costco) → Leading message is a few high-value deals on specific items, like $500 off a specific TV. Discounts (Target, Macy’s Ulta) → General increase in promotional activity with various discounts across the assortment. Members Only Discounts / Early Access (Nike, Columbia, Hollister) → 20-30% deal only for loyalty members / subscribers, using the day to drive opt-in. Often combined with bonus points. Gift cards / credits (Apple, Chewy x Purina, Best Buy x Meta) → Value is given back in future credit to spend at a later date with the business. Several cool retail media partnerships here – buy a brand’s products, get a gift card with the retailer. Sitewide Discounts (Skims, GAP, Abercrombie) → The classic “X% off sitewide!” deals. Seeing less of this than in years past. Ladder Discounts (Ace Hardware, Auto Zone) → Sitewide discounts, but with MOV and increasing discount rate (e.g. 10% off $50+, 20% off $100+). Opt-out / commentary (REI, ARMEDANGELS) → Some brands use BF as a moment to make a statement, like REI’s Opt Outside or ARMEDANGELS’ ‘No Fomo Friday.’ Best of luck to everybody and well done on all the hard work that’s gone into this year's #BFCM. We are also thrilled to see more of the NRF Top 100 now running their promotions & loyalty rewards on Talon.One.
