As if by magic, bits of cable become beaks and random pieces of wood become bodies. What sorcery is this? You’ll find the Gallery in Hamburg at An der Alster 81 next to the Hotel Atlantic. 𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐛𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐮𝐧 𝐚𝐭 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧-𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 ✨🍪 The second weekend of Advent brought joy and creativity to our Stern-Technology Center in Ahrensburg! 80 families joined us in the baking lab to roll out over 200 kilograms of shortcrust pastry. Guided by our enthusiastic teams from DeutscheBack and Mühlenchemie, it was a truly magical day filled with festive cheer. With aprons, baking hats, and cookie cutters in hand, our young bakers crafted delightful treats. Parents and grandparents joined in, adding their own creative touches and sharing wonderful moments with their families. As a proud family company, we value moments that bring our colleagues and their loved ones closer together. Christmas baking event is one of our annual traditions. 𝐅𝐈𝐄 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒: 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐦𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭 🤩 Four brands, one mission: Attendees at Food ingredients Europe saw a food industry full of innovations – sustainable, healthy and in many cases plant-based. The joint booth of SternVitamin , Planteneers, Hydrosol and Sternchemie was the perfect place to experience the synergies our group brings to the table. 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝-𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 We’re especially proud of our awards, like the second place Food Manufacturing Award for the marbled plant-based Steak 2.0 from Planteneers that takes meat alternatives to the next level. That product was especially popular with booth visitors; in fact it was our “best-seller” with over 700 samples tasted. We were also happy about the Innovation Tour visit in which Hydrosol made an impression in the “Health and Wellbeing” category with Yogonaise, a fresh, light and healthy mayo sauce that goes great with potato wedges. A spur-of-the-moment interview with public broadcaster Hessischer Rundfunk was an opportunity to give German viewers an exciting look at the food industry. A big thanks goes out to all our colleagues who were involved, and to our customers for great talks and insights. At the recent WAS Stormarn  working group meeting at our site in Ahrensburg, we hosted ten companies from the Stormarn region near Hamburg to explore how AI can shape the future of HR. The day was all about curiosity and exchange. Participants shared their focus topics, tackled challenges, and brainstormed practical solutions focused on AI-driven HR tools. „Seeing how different companies approach similar challenges was truly inspiring – that’s where real progress begins,“ says Christoph Kowollik, Director Digital Business Development. Each company brought unique perspectives to the table, and the energy in the room made it clear: collaboration isn’t just about shared goals; it’s about shared inspiration. We’ll show you how we use synergies between our companies to bring you added value – over 150 R&D specialists work on the solutions of tomorrow in our worldwide Stern-Technology Centers. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐂 𝐟𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐣𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐞𝐬 … … to Mexico. We are happy and grateful that our colleagues at Stern Ingredients México discovered the wonderful private initiative “Ayudante al Niño IAP” near Mexico City. It provides loving, extended family-style care to orphans and children in difficult family circumstances. Donations from our subsidiary Mühlenchemie are helping get renovations underway, and we also cover school fees and medical care for the kids. In this way we are making a modest contribution to ensuring that young folks can look positively into the future.   We’re a family business, so the people at the various locations in our group are important to us. Our colleagues at Stern Ingredients Mexico Hendrik Begemann and Juana Salinas Cruz support the project locally, and see themselves not only as donors but also as advisors, so that 100 percent of the help gets where it needs to be and has a lasting effect.

At the finish line they were rewarded not only with the sore muscles of a lifetime and bright Baltic sunshine, but also a very special experience whose spirit will stay with everyone a long time. Sensing your own limits and relying on the strength of the team – only those who stay together, physically and mentally, conquer the obstacle course. As every year, he made plenty of time for it, ensuring that the conversation was lively at the shared breakfast. Fourteen new apprentices and dual students got a comprehensive look at the successes and challenges of our company group, and introduced themselves to the CEO with their own presentation. There were also networking opportunities, from our company history in our FlourWorld Museum to personal talks with Management to conversations with each other, laying a strong foundation for their joint future at the Stern-Wywiol Gruppe. 𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐨𝐛𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐝𝐨 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐰𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧 💪 We’re not easy to discourage. For 18 women from our subsidiaries, at the Muddy Angel Run 2024 in Hamburg no ditch was too deep and no obstacle too slippery. Hand in hand they crossed the finish line – wet, muddy, and happy. It was an unforgettable day far removed from routine work.  All earnings from the run go to the fight against breast cancer. 🎗️ Together with its partners, in the past years the organizer has collected over € 700,000 in donations.
