𝗚𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗟𝗮𝘄: 𝗦𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻? This fall, the German government presented a draft framework for a national space law, aiming to bolster the country's space industry and enhance its global competitiveness. While the initiative marks a step in the right direction, the proposal has drawn criticism for not going far enough and for introducing additional layers of regulation that could stifle innovation and growth. Dr. Andreas Lenz, an attorney at the prominent business law firm HEUKING and member of Space Cooperative Europe SCE , has shared his perspective on the matter. Please, have a look at YURIs Service Offering. Yuri as Space Service Provider was and is supporting the Space Experiments which were accelerated by Space Cooperative Europe SCE. Space Cooperative Europe is already working on the next projects where the recently developed hardware is essential. Please, stay tuned!
Yuri's Most Powerful Space Biology Hardware is Ready for Launch! 🌌 Over the past 2.5 years, we’ve developed the world’s most advanced hardware stack for #space #biology, #human #research, and #biotech #fabrication. Now, it’s time to take the next giant leap: the #SpaceX32 #ISS Resupply Mission is on the horizon! Our teams in Luxembourg and Germany are currently conducting the Integration Sequence Test – a critical step for every ISS mission. This milestone brings us closer to sending the Yuri ScienceTaxi BioSpin to the ISS. What makes it unique? 1. Hosting 38 #ScienceShells for experiments & fabrication in microgravity and simulated earth gravity via an integrated centrifuge. 2. Launching a new fluidic system alongside 3D-printed modular culture chambers and tanks – enabling next-gen, highly modular bioreactors for our customers. Can you spot the #YuriScope, the smallest phase-contrast microscope ever launched to the ISS, integrated into our ScienceShells? Yes, we’re bringing advanced microscopy directly to space research – and this is just the beginning. This mission, codenamed #HUMB, marks the first commercial life-science facility launched to the ISS in years. And while we’re gearing up for this historic step, we’re also laying the groundwork for the post-ISS era. Join us as we push the boundaries of space biology and biotech innovation. Interested in future collaborations? Let’s talk about how we can help your science take flight! 🌟 The stars have aligned! APEX Ventures portfolio company, ATMOS Space Cargo, and Space Cargo Unlimited have joined forces to industrialize low-earth-orbit. 🚀 This collaboration represents an important milestone in the European path to democratize access to in-space testing, manufacturing and scientific research. With seven re-entry missions planned between 2025 and 2027, the first mission will take off as early as Q4 2025. 🎖️ These missions will feature the new Space Cargo Unlimited’s BENTOBOX- designed to provide unparalleled flexibility and scalability for microgravity applications along with ATMOS Space Cargo’s flagship innovation, the PHOENIX capsule - a sustainable solution for returning cargo of any size from space. 🛰️ “By combining BENTOBOX with our PHOENIX re-entry capsule, we can provide a full-service solution to customers, from payload development & integration to safe return and recovery,” said Sebastian Klaus, CEO of ATMOS Space Cargo Cargo. 🔭 “Our mission is to unlock the immense potential of in-space manufacturing for Earth-based industries and to open the frontier for groundbreaking commercial and scientific advancements,” says Nicolas Gaume, CEO of Space Cargo Unlimited. 🌐 Find out more about their mission in Payload by Tim Fernholz: https://lnkd.in/eX5a-R-s #space #innovation #science #spacetech

🚀 𝐒𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧! Just came back, very inspired, from my participation in the Space for Inspiration event in Luxembourg 4-5 December, hosted by the European Space Agency - ESA. It was also an honor to share the stage in a panel session regarding legal trends and challenges of the New Space Economy with these great space law experts, lead by Cécile Théard-Jallu: Claes Hansen, @European Space Agency - ESA Cécile Théard-Jallu and Francine Le Péchon-Joubert, De Gaulle Fleurance Dr. Andreas Lenz and Dr. Thomas Jansen, HEUKING Dr Guillaume LOONIS QUÉLEN (PhD), E.I Giulia Pavesi, European Space Policy Institute (ESPI) During the panel discussion, I had the pleasure of talking to Nima J. Shahinian from Nåva Space, about the legal definition of "astronaut". Defining an astronaut is important because the term carries legal, operational and not the least symbolic significance - especially in the context of space exploration - and space tourism. 💫 Thank you so much to everyone for insightful dialogue and discussions - great fun! Today, I held the virtual introductory session to my seminar on “International energy policy between war and climate change” at the Institute of Political Science of Tübingen University, Germany, where I am teaching as Honorary Professor for International Technology Policy. I saw a highly dedicated group of students, most of them from abroad, making the course exciting and rich in different perspectives. In a two-day block seminar in January, we will navigate the multiple aspects of the topic. With the Russian war of aggression against the Ukraine, energy policy has received another huge boost in visibility and urgency. While the three constituents of energy policy (economics, sustainability, security) have been in the political and public discourse for many years, the dramatic consequences of the rogue Russian warfare affect Europe in ways, experienced and suffered so far only in far distant world regions. We are therefore brutally forced to re-think our energy policy and to re-balance the triangle composed of affordable energy, environmentally neutral energy and secure energy supply. Amidst the threats of cold and dark winters on the one hand and a neglect of managing climate change on the other hand, this course analyses the character of energy policy, the application of international relations theories and the practical question of how to shape energy policy for the future to meet all (conflicting) demands in this field. Many bright ideas and also projects for Master theses (most recently an exceptional one by Linda Schill on “Facing the energy trilemma in times of geopolitical crises and energy transition - An analysis of EU policy change from the Third Energy Package to the REPowerEU Plan”) have emanated from previous editions of this course. I look very much forward to an enlightening and fruitful block session in January! https://lnkd.in/effMwkpx https://schrogl.com/
