🎉 Q2 is coming in full swing with yet another outstanding announcement coming from remove's community! 🔝 Following Milkywire’s Climate Transformation Fund Announcement, we are pleased to announce that nine #startups from our community have been recognized as the TOP 100 most promising carbon removal innovators by XPRIZE! 👏 Huge congratulations to: Airhive, Carbon Atlantis, Octavia Carbon, PRONOE, PyroCCS - Biochar CDR Solutions, RubisCO2, SeaO2, Silicate, neustark and all the other pioneers driving this ecosystem forward. 👀 Moving forward the XPRIZE Carbon Removal Challenge will be selecting 20 finalists from the Top 100 to demonstrate and test their solutions. They will then be competing for the Grand Prize of $50M. 🚀 RubisCO2 made it to the top 100! We are on the way to be mass producing simple and decentralized high temperature pyrolysis systems. The application process itself was extremely valuable. Thanks to XPRIZE and the Elon Musk Foundation for the opportunity. 🤝 It is inspiring to see all the awesome projects that remove CO2. There is hope in a wonderful future. ⭐ Today, Agripin Martín Casillas, cofounder of Estafeta Mexicana, our main sponsor, came to visit our testing site. He shared timeless advice with us and stories about successfully co-founding a start-up in the 60's 🚀 We could present Tlacuache 1, RubisCO2's algal pyrolysis TRL6 prototype. It is already working even better than expected, and we're still going deeper into the room for improvement with Andreas Mirlach, Marco Perner, and our awesome builder, Pedro Ceja.
