🌟The Life Science Barometer 2025 is out today!🌟 This report provides a unique overview of Sweden's life science sector – a field that continues to thrive with innovation and collaboration at its core. At STUNS Life science , we are proud to have contributed to this important work and to be part of the dialogue on how Sweden can strengthen its position as a global leader in life science. 🔗Read the Life Science Barometer 2025 now! https://lnkd.in/drcrJQfq 👏Excellent work Maja Neiman (SwedenBIO), Dajana I. (STUNS Life science ), Sarah Lidé (Medicon Village Innovation), Kajsa Liljegren (Stockholm Science City) and Jamie Smith (Sahlgrenska Science Park)!
Presenting the Life Science Barometer 2025! 🥁 SwedenBIO is proud to present The Life Science Barometer 2025 - a snapshot of the Swedish Life Science industry. The Barometer offers you the most comprehensive and up-to-date understanding of the Swedish life science industry. You will find a combination of industry statistics, key metrics as well as on-the-ground sentiments and forward-looking prognoses. This year, we have paid extra attention to the concept of value generation. What kinds of monetary values does our industry generate? And how can non-monetary value be defined, measured and followed? What do we choose to showcase in the life science display window? ➡ Who should read the report? National policy makers, life science executives and investors. ➡ What is it? Every year, SwedenBIO conducts a qualitative study with Swedish life science executives. The resulting “Barometer” is our most important publication, outlining the state of the industry. ➡ Why is it important? With so many executives providing input, this report offers a unique alternative to standardized statistics. 🔗 Click here to read the report: https://lnkd.in/drcrJQfq Thank you to our partners who helped produce the report: Medicon Village Innovation, Sahlgrenska Science Park, Stockholm Science City Foundation, STUNS Life science and Citeline. 🚀With a remarkable 16% growth in active companies from 2018 to 2022, the Stockholm–Uppsala region continues to be a key player in the life science industry. 🌟 “The life science sector in the Stockholm–Uppsala region has seen remarkable growth, with a significant rise in active companies from 2018 to 2022, driven by a diverse array of businesses. However, despite this expansion, the dominance of micro-enterprises – comprising nearly half of the companies with turnover – raises concerns about the scale needed to sustain long term impact. As large and medium-sized companies account for just 8%, their continued influence is vital to balancing the entrepreneurial vigor with the region’s global ambitions.” – Ylva Williams, CEO of Stockholm Science City Foundation. 🌟 Congratulations Uppsala County! 🌟 Uppsala leads Sweden in life science employment growth and sees an impressive average of 10 new life science companies founded annually! 🚀 #lifescience #innovation
