Další ročník Vánočních trhů na Port7 je za námi – a opět to stálo za to! As we come to the end of 2024, I can only reflect that Skanska is in a good place. We have seen strong performance in Construction, boosted by a solid order intake, especially in infrastructure projects and other promising areas like data centers. We have seen some slight recovery in residential with an uptick in sales, and in a slow commercial property market managed to sign the largest lease in our history in the US, and divest top quality commercial properties in Europe. We’ve also expanded our asset portfolio within Investment Properties to seven Class-A properties in Sweden.   All of this has been achieved thanks to the hard work of our talented teams, and the continued trust of our customers around the world. As you can see from these pictures, no project is ever the same, and with smart thinking and good collaboration, these places and infrastructure will leave a positive lasting impact.   I want to thank all of my colleagues, our customers, partners and our shareholders for making this such a good year for Skanska. And I wish all of you a happy, healthy and peaceful 2025.

In Miami, our team topped out at the Jackson Health System Emergency Department! The reimagined emergency room will be a role model facility in quality, efficiency and experience. Key enhancements to improve the patient experience include more than 200 patient rooms, a fast-track triage to reduce wait times, 50 observation rooms, six resuscitation rooms, and enhanced privacy for loved ones to be near patient care areas with family lounges and waiting areas. Located in the most vibrant business area of Hungary’s capital, the new 8-storey building will have a gross leasable area of around 22.200 sqm. We are happy to announce two major new contracts in the United States! First, we will be constructing a state-of-the-art parking garage along with additional improvements at Logan Airport’s Terminal E in Boston. Solar PV panels will be installed on both the façade and roof of the garage to offset electricity consumption, and the project is aiming for a Parksmart certification from the Green Building Certification Institute. Second, we have been contracted to build two new express lanes along the median of Interstate 15 in San Bernardino, Ontario, California. This infrastructure project will improve the connectivity from the Riverside County I-15 express lanes. Upon completion, it will improve traffic flow, relieve congestion, and reduce travel times for commuters.
