Strategy, competence and sustainability are shaping the future. 🌟Today we meet Alberto Pisseri, Vice President Finance, BU Homogenizer, and Head of Production & Supply Chain, who has been at the heart of growth and innovation at GEA for over a decade. Alberto combines deep financial expertise with a sustainability and efficiency-focused strategic vision.🌟 “I joined GEA in 2010 after gaining significant experience in various multinationals. From the outset, I’ve had the opportunity to take on some big challenges and contributed to the growth of the Homogenizer BU. “I’ve worked in various roles at the GEA Group, and although I’ve focused mainly on financial activities, my work has gradually expanded to coordinating multiple areas, encompassing the supply chain, production and planning. This transition has given me a broader view of the corporate processes, integrating financial and operational strategy to achieve ever more ambitious targets. “At GEA, budget planning is a complex and involved process which requires a great deal of focus and coordination across different departments. “When I joined GEA in 2010, volumes at the company were significantly lower. Looking back, I’m proud that our results have quadrupled. This milestone is due to collective commitment and a well-structured strategy that has driven our growth and helped us overcome new challenges. “We are constantly developing new products and identifying innovative applications for existing products. This approach requires dynamism and a future-oriented mindset. “For GEA, though, people really are at the core of our progress. We place great value on curiosity and a desire to grow, which we consider key qualities for building a strong and innovative team. And that’s why we have created internal training programs that not only develop specific skills but also promote cross-functional growth, helping people to gain experience and knowledge in different areas. “At GEA we never undervalue sustainability, and we’re committed to ensuring we have the resources to invest in a targeted and responsible manner. We strongly believe that this is an area where each decision must be well considered and strategic. “In recent years, we’ve expanded our plant with a specific focus on sustainability. Some of the most significant investments include the installation of solar panels to produce green energy and LED lighting systems, helping us to really cut down on gas and boost our use of electricity. “By recirculating water used for machine testing, we’ve also made real progress on saving water, reducing our consumption by 50%. “These are important steps forward. And seeing them translated into real benefits for the company and the environment is really satisfying.” #GEA #GEAPeople #Homogenizer #SustainableFuture

🌟Today we catch up with Pharmaceutical Product Manager Annalisa Malchiodi to hear about her extensive experience at GEA and how a direct and ongoing relationship with customers is an ever-present aspect of her and her team’s work.🌟 “My career at GEA began in 1998. For several years I had an Italian-based sales role, working with customers across various sectors. Around five years ago, I became a pharmaceutical product manager for domestic and international markets. “We meticulously follow customer specifications and understand their goals so we can provide an appropriate assessment. Throughout each stage of the project right up to post-installation checks, our service is precise, on time and tailored. A key part of our work is aligning ourselves to customers so we can support them across various project developments – very much one of GEA’s strengths. “The pharma team I work with is made up of technical experts, such as mechanical engineers and automation specialists. Our shared values include a strong desire to innovate, conduct research and ensure we are always on top of the latest market guidelines. One of our future aims is to improve our machine documentation to best meet the pharma sector’s requirements. “We’re also driven by sustainability. For example, we optimise water and energy consumption through installing water recirculation systems that cool and lubricate machines to reduce resource waste. “From small facilities to large-scale homogenizers, our goal is to create dedicated solutions for the customer. And we love taking on new challenges, as they drive our growth and continuous improvement. The added value of a career in GEA is the constant opportunity to draw on influences from multiple sectors to boost your knowledge and make valuable connections.”

🌍 Shaping the future of the food & beverage industry. At GEA we work every day to build a more sustainable future, helping companies to optimize food waste through our advanced homogenization technologies. Have you ever asked yourself how homogenization can actually reduce food waste? ♻️ The homogenization process not only improves the quality and physical stability of food products – it also allows you to extract value from every ingredient, including waste, by transforming it into precious resources. Here are two practical examples: 🫘 Soy okara: A compound that comes from the homogenization of vegetable fibers in skins from soybeans used for the production of plant-based drinks; the result is a white and floury pulp that can be used in different ways across a range of sectors. 🍊 Orange peel: Normally sent for disposal, orange peel can be transformed into functional ingredients, reducing waste and offering new sustainable solutions. Thanks to our technologies, not only can companies optimize their production process, they can also give new life to waste, contributing to the circular economy by keeping up with the latest market innovations. 👉 Follow us to discover the full range of potential uses for homogenization! #GEA #Homogenization #Sustainability #FoodWaste #CircularEconomy #Innovation
