#HeatToCool – The GEA Blu-Red Fusion is particularly suited for combined cooling/refrigeration and heating demands at low heat source temperature levels and high temperature lifts between heat source and heat sink. The intermediate stage is equipped with one single, efficient ammonia-ammonia “cascade” heat exchanger. Not only does the design drastically reduce the equipment offer, it also makes an intermediate liquid cycle redundant which reduces the differential pressure of both stages and does not waste more Kilowatts on glycol or water pumps. When it comes to decarbonizing the food, dairy or beverage production facility, there are a few key points to consider: 1. Sooner is better 🔜 Bring in the heating & cooling expertise as early as possible—preferably during the feasibility stage. 2. Take a holistic approach 🔄 Consider your entire facility: all requirements, heat sources, cooling needs, processes, and energy-consuming factors. Address these comprehensively to create the optimal solution or upgrade. 3. Reduce and reuse ♻️ Make the most of what's already available at your facility and explore all reduction possibilities. Can excess heat be upgraded and reused? Can cleaning be done with less or no water? Can you switch from a boiler to a heat pump? Can everything run on green electricity? Remember, "many a mickle makes a muckle!" 4. Efficiency is king 🔌 Make every kilowatt count by designing your upgrade or greenfield project with efficiency in mind. 5.
