SOLAR CONVERSATION - The sunflower captures the idea of the collaboration that has united the two companies. It's not just the "sunny" attitude that passes from the leaders to the team, but also the quality of the collaboration that has united the two realities precisely in the moments when the sun was not there. Because in the workplace, as in life in general, it's not always all roses and flowers! And, unfortunately or fortunately, it is precisely in moments of difficulty that we manage to surpass ourselves. And this is what also happened to Prati and Permapack. The "sun" was brought by every person on the team, contributing to strengthen a relationship that Roger Wick loves to describe as "our partnership is like the perfect interaction between gears & drives in a machine: it allows regular operation and maximum efficiency. The focus has never been exclusively on the purchase and sale of machinery, but a close collaboration at all levels. Referring to Prati Company, Roger Wick (former COO | Labels & Flexible Packaging at Permapack AG, retired since August 2024) often used the words #safety, #support, and #reliability. He spoke to me about how he perceived the real customer focus, the importance of relying on a partner who could provide 'tailor-made' solutions, and how mutual trust between human beings was the glue that held a working relationship together, even in the most difficult moments. Here are some 'highlights' from the interview... CHIARA PRATI (CEO & CSO Prati): The collaboration with Roger Wick has been truly enriching, and it’s rare to find people with such a beautiful soul. It’s been a wonderful journey, and I’d like him to know that in Faenza, he will always have not only friends, but a family. Claudia Fabbri (Sales Director Prati): Thank you for always saying YES to Prati! We were able to count on Permapack and show some machines in action. Roger Wick: For me, mutual help matters: sometimes I might need help, and other times, I can help others. I try to stay happy and keep an optimistic and positive attitude. Throughout my professional life, whenever I started a new day, I never thought, 'Oh... I have to go to work,' but rather, 'Here’s a new 'good' day to go to work.' That was my positive #mindset. Interviewing him was an honor for me, and I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to listen to this story, because many details of the collaboration with PRATI, and the activities he will undertake in the future, conveyed such beauty that we decided to inaugurate the 'SOLAR CONVERSATIONS' section: a 'space' where Prati will talk about people and the 'sun' they bring to every activity and work, together with their team. “You don't need to see the whole staircase. Just start by climbing the first step,” so wrote Martin Luther King, a thought I have made my own many times in life: when I didn't know what direction to take, or what (and who) to let go. I think it literally saved me when I had a puzzle too big to “take apart,” or when I had a new one to tackle. The unfamiliar (call it darkness if you like) often frightens us, perhaps because the new to be re-constructed seems so large that we cannot glimpse its scope or shape. And that is what I have also experienced since September 1, 2023, when I embarked on the Prati journey (12 months perceived as 12 weeks!): a galactic time, literally flown by, in which we have added new pieces to our puzzle and created “idea containers” on the website: first and foremost, the new SPACE AGE FINISHING section, with the story telling of the communication campaign https://lnkd.in/dFYhRkZ6 https://lnkd.in/dPpQKYU2 But other “children” have already been born, in which we tell how we have involved the stars of our team by generating MESSAGES from the PRATI GALAXY, which encapsulate the soul of the company and which online will be able to evolve along with the technology, embellishing with a bit of philosophy the events in which we will participate.  Turning various thoughts into matter was taken care of by our DIGI COMPACT, converting the first PRATI PHILOSOPHICAL CARDS at Drupa2024. From Drupa… suitcases ready for #LabelexpoAmericas! We have decided to conclude the galactic year by bringing DIGI COMPACT to America, the "small but mighty" machine that conquered the visitors of #drupa2024 by converting, in a roll-to-stack configuration, the Messages from the Prati Galaxy into Prati philosophical cards. Why not then surprise the overseas audience with a multitasking model that allows different processing (roll to roll, roll to sheet and roll to stack) all-in-one and can combine analog and digital technology, on a wide range of materials, from 12 to 350 microns? This converting and finishing line for self-adhesive labels and digitally printed flexible packaging, with JetFx digital embellishment unit, will be exhibited in America with a different configuration: with a cutting unit and a rewinder, and will be able to perform the conversion of self-adhesive material from roll to roll for the rewinding of large rolls and subsequent finishing passage on the control table (Q/C machine), as well as roll-to-roll finishing in a single pass. Furthermore, the rewinding shafts, from 25.4 to 152 mm in diameter, will be interchangeable! This configuration also includes a cutting module for the division of tracks and/or the removal of side trims. Come visit us at the stand Hall C 3529! #Drupa2024 Day 7 - Today I would like to share with you some of the emotions experienced in recent days thanks to our "galactic" initiatives 🌍. I would leave more space for images, because there are things that cannot always be expressed in words. But I can tell you that was were exciting seeing visitors interested in DIGI COMPACT - which "bestowed" thoughts of wisdom while carrying out the finishing and ennoblement on the PRATI Philosophical cards - then also stopped to read the sentences on the cards, or photograph some of them, or even record with their mobile phone the phrases written by PRATI Team flowing on the LED wall. Sometimes even touching to observe their expressions when they "randomly found" the right phrase at that moment!  Sometimes we just need a “good word” to start the day better. #VIVALAVIDA!
