𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘂𝘀, 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗮 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 "Imagine 600 people drowning at the same time. Just imagine that. And you are a mother. So 𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱. And that's sometimes what we miss, you know. [...] Why can we not be touched just by knowing about things without having to have the images so often in front of us? That, to me, is a big problem in relation to not just politics and the decisions they make, but the extent to which 𝘄𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝗶𝗻 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗯𝘆 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱 these situations and to put ourselves in the place of these people. 🎓 Human capital at the heart of Ukraine’s future Last week, Kyiv hosted the Fifth International Forum on "Human Capital: Value, Quality, Development," an event shaping #Ukraine’s skills ecosystem as it moves towards EU integration. Ukraine’s Minister of Education and Science, Oksen Lisovyi, highlighted the critical role of #skills in rebuilding a resilient society, stating: "I cannot stress enough the key role of skills in building socially fair and resilient societies and ensuring Europe’s competitiveness globally." 30 years, 30+ stories: Egypt’s roadmap for socio-economic transformation through technical education For decades, the European Training Foundation (ETF) has partnered with #Egypt to reform technical and vocational education and training (TVET), promoting inclusive, sustainable growth and human capital development. “The ETF helps shape an effective ecosystem for human capital and #skills development in a quite direct way”, said Pasqualino Mare, ETF Country Liaison for Egypt.
