This year, the pilot CO₂ capture project was launched at our Monselice plant (Italy) in collaboration with Nuada as part of the Innovandi Open Challenge initiative. This partnership has delivered significant results in the journey toward decarbonizing the cement industry. The testing carried out in Monselice – with a pilot plant capable of capturing one ton of CO₂ per day – has confirmed the performance initially demonstrated by lab-scale facilities. We are proud to have been among the first to undertake such activities and to rely on Nuada's innovative technology to achieve our sustainability goals. As the year comes to an end, so does the experimentation phase, but this is only the beginning of new initiatives in this direction, with the ultimate goal of reaching Net Zero by 2050. #Buzzi #BuzziUnicemItalia #Nuada #Decarbonization #NetZero2050

After intensive planning and almost five years of construction, the Museum Reinhard Ernst opened in June 2024 in #Wiesbaden - a new highlight of the international art scene with a focus on abstract art. 🎨 The imposing building was designed by renowned architect Fumihiko Maki and impresses with a white granite façade and a central atrium. Dyckerhoff supplied around 1,800 m³ of waterproof concrete and a further 8,000 m³ of concrete in various strengths for the walls and ceilings. The control station, the heart of the cement plant control system, has now also been installed at the Mergelstetten project (Germany). The control room furniture was designed in collaboration with Haselmaier at an early stage of the project. After a successful trial installation, the new control station was then furnished in just 1.5 days - flawlessly and functionally! 💪 Two separate workstations with 30 monitors were set up. In future, the system for the innovative oxyfuel process with oxygen supply and CO₂ purification/liquefaction will be controlled and monitored from here. 🖥️ The programming and installation of the control system will start at the end of the year. #Buzzi #Dyckerhoff #CI4C #ResearchAndDevelopment

Over the past year, Dyckerhoff Polska has completed two significant environmental projects in partnership with the local association “Liga Ochrony Przyrody”: planting Paulownia "oxygen trees" and setting up urban beehives to support honeybee populations. The Oxygen Tree Project focuses on reducing CO₂ emissions by creating an "oxygen farm" with Paulownia trees, which produce up to 300 kg of oxygen per tree annually—far more than native species. This initiative helps reduce our ecological footprint and promotes cleaner air. Additionally, the "Bees in the City" initiative involved building an apiary with four hives in the cement plant area. This initiative supports the growth of the honeybee population, which plays a vital role in pollination, supporting biodiversity and local ecosystems. #Buzzi #DyckerhoffPolska
