A Memorable Team Experience at the Women’s EHF EURO!     On Monday, our team had the opportunity to attend the Women’s EHF EURO 2024. The visit started with an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour at Stadthalle in Vienna where we gained valuable insights for organising and marketing the EHF club competitions.    After the tour, we enjoyed one of our shared passions and watched top-class handball. It was particularly exciting for some of our newest team members, as this was their first experience attending a large-scale handball match!    Days like these remind us how important it is to connect the theory of our daily tasks to real-world experiences while also strengthening our team bond. Behind the Scenes at SELECT Sport A/S Last week, Hannah and Johanna from our partners department had the pleasure of visiting SELECT’s headquarters in Glostrup—a fantastic opportunity to strengthen our partnership and connect with the team behind the brand. An insightful tour of the facilities presented the showroom, warehouse, and quality testing lab. All while sharing the inspiring history and business philosophy behind their brand. The Truffle Hunt in Aalborg In October, a workshop with our partners Croatian National Tourist Board and Istria Tourist Board set the stage for an exciting season of activations. Following this, EHF Marketing presented several new ideas, the first of which was brought to life at yesterday’s match between Aalborg Håndbold and Kielce Handball. Inspired by Istria’s renowned truffle-hunting tradition, the activation challenged participants to dribble a ball through slalom poles to find a hidden treasure. The prize? Nothing less than a weekend trip to Istria including flights and hotel stay! Participants were chosen through an online game, where over 800 people solved a puzzle revealing the city of Umag in Istria. Beyond the fun, this activation delivered some valuable insights. The data gathered from the online game will help refine future activities, allowing us and our partners to create even more targeted experiences for fans and potential travellers. Partner activation through fan engagement   Building meaningful connections between our partners and fans is a cornerstone of our marketing approach. A great example is MOL Group, official partner of the Machineseeker EHF Champions League. The company is very active in bringing the partnership to life through consistent activities in Hungary, Poland, Romania and Croatia. The MOL Group engages fans both on-site and digitally, ensuring a comprehensive experience for all. Initiatives like “MOL & Goal” bring selected fans closer to the action in the arena with chances to win tickets, vouchers and t-shirts. The “MOL Selfie Cam” additionally connects with those who cannot make it to their favourite teams’ away games by bringing their messages directly to the screens in the arenas. Especially the digital activations have proven to be highly effective in reaching wider audiences.   In addition to these ongoing activities, a new concept was presented yesterday at Veszprém Handball Zrt. It aimed to engage as many spectators as possible and enhance the collective experience through a fun joint competition. Why Sponsorship Matters: Handball Fans Prefer Brands That Support the Game Over the past two weeks, we have given a closer look into demographics and values of fans of the EHF club competitions by sharing detailed insights into our community. The third part of our fan survey examined topics like brand appeal, brand fit, and perception of sponsorship. Some interesting facts: 👉 89.3% are interested in the vacation and travel sector 👉 The attractiveness of our sponsors’ brands increased by an average of 48 %, thanks to their involvement in European club handball Our findings also reveal that many participants feel proud when their employers sponsor sports, highlighting the important role that sports play in our society. Furthermore, the European handball community shows a clear loyalty towards sponsor brands, favouring companies that support their favourite sport.
