#Transmission | Omexom is reconstructing the V403/803 line in the Beskydy Region, Eastern Czech Republic. In the stunning yet challenging terrain of the Beskydy Region, Omexom is carrying out the complete reconstruction of the V403/803 line. This project pushes the boundaries of engineering, by installing masts on ski-slopes and other difficult to reach locations. 🗣️“The third stage, which we are involved in, takes place in rather extreme conditions. Some of the masts are being erected on slopes and in places that are very difficult to access. It was therefore necessary to build a large number of access roads and use special methods.” says Marek Dobrý, HV Division Director at OMEXOM GA Energo s.r.o.. Commissioned by ČEPS, the project replaces the original 1959 line with a modern 400 kV double line, featuring advanced Danube and Soudek mast structures. Work on these lines started in May 2023 and is scheduled for completion in September 2024. Key Stats about this project: • Length: 26.62 km (masts 160 to SS Nošovice) • Dismounting of existing masts and installation of 88 new ones • Drones used for rope installation in hard-to-access areas This project is a vital step toward enhancing energy reliability in the Beskydy Region and achieving Czech Republic’s #energytransition goals.⚡🌍 🎥 Watch how our teams are tackling these challenges: VINCI Energies #OmexomExpertise #ReplacementWork #EnergyInfrastructure

#Transmission | During the September floods that affected the Moravian-Silesian and Olomouc regions in the eastern Czech Republic, our Omexom teams demonstrated exceptional expertise and #resilience. One of the most demanding tasks was addressing the damage to tower No. 17 of the 110 kV V685/686 line, located in the Opava River. The tower had been undermined by the swollen river, leaving it dangerously "suspended." If it had fallen, it could have taken down nearby towers and caused serious damage to the intersecting 22 kV line. 🏗️ “Standard procedures weren’t an option,” explains Marek Dobrý, Director of the HV Division in Czech Republic. “Special equipment had to be brought in to execute a controlled dismantling of the tower and safely lowering it to the ground. This allowed us to start restoring the damaged section from mast No. 15 to No. 19.” Thanks ingenious approach of our Omexom teams, a disastrous incident was averted, and the final construction and installation work was completed to restore the line to full operation. ⚡👏 This quick turnaround highlights the strength of teamwork and proactive thinking, which are essential in safeguarding vital #energyinfrastructure and assisting communities during natural disasters. #Transmission | Last week, our Omexom teams in Norway carried out a comprehensive maintenance operation in Lyngdal municipality, located in southern Norway, where helicopters were used to replace old power poles. A total of 19 people participated in the work, resulting in the successful #replacement of 8 poles 🚁. For projects of this size and involving significant risk, the planning phase is crucial. It is important to ensure that everyone is aware of potential hazards and that all parties work together to achieve the best possible outcome. For our teams, #HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) is about one thing: Every Employee Safely Home. Helicopter operations introduce several unique risk elements that must be carefully managed and assessed to ensure the #safety of everyone involved 🤝. The project was planned by project manager Emil Willumsen in Lyngdal, who is responsible for budgeting, communication, and execution: 🗣️ “To succeed, you need a very good plan and good dialogue with the fitters and actors who will carry out the work. Although a maintenance project of this scale is demanding, it is also very exciting and tough.” 📄 Read more in the article from Omexom Norge (Norwegian): https://lnkd.in/eJm52aB3 VINCI Energies #EnergyTransition #OmexomExpertise #Replacementwork
