Did you catch us on BFMTV yesterday morning? Our CEO, Gaétan Rougevin-Baville, was invited as a special guest to chat with Laure Closier on BFM Business’ French Tech segment about how Diffusely (formerly Meero) has recently been rebranded to reflect the artificial intelligence & diffusion models which are at the heart of our offering. Since our pivot towards an AI-powered SaaS offering in 2022, Gaétan Rougevin-Baville discusses the benefits of Diffusely’s hyper-verticalized solutions for the automotive, fashion and real estate industries: - enhanced photography for stronger visual impact, such as modernizing furniture in a room with virtual home staging, staging vehicles in 3D showrooms, creating 360° visualizations, or generating virtual mannequins for fashion; - reduced manual photo editing, effectively getting content online and selling faster; - cost-efficient alternative through AI-powered economies of scale. A new era commences. Meet Diffusely. As of today, Meero has rebranded to become Diffusely, officially marking the next generation of the company and our commitment to the AI space. Since our inception in 2014, we've gone through multiple phases, like many start-ups do. In 2022, we started venturing into the SaaS world and, as other scale-ups, found our true business calling. Now, two years on, we're well established as an AI-powered image enhancement solution and are proudly growing strong, 2000+ clients and counting. So we thought it was time to mark this milestone with a fresh, modern rebrand. Two main reasons behind the name 'Diffusely': 1. Firstly, as an ode to technology and AI, more specifically the use of diffusion models which are at the heart of our offering; 2. Secondly, a reference to the client-facing, verticalized child companies: CarCutter, AutoRetouch, ProperShot, and perhaps others in the future - in which our offering takes form, each leveraging the same underlying technology and the same client benefits: better imagery. As we mark this transition from Meero to Diffusely, we want to thank everyone who's been part of the journey. Your support has got us to where we are today. We look forward to sharing the next phase of this awesome ride.

At Meero, one of the key elements of our value proposition is to seamlessly integrate with our clients’ systems & processes. However, being able to integrate with all frameworks is a significant challenge, in part due to the sheer variety of environments in use. This is one of the challenges we face in the development of CarCutter - Meero’s automotive image enhancement solution. Recently, our PDE team released a truly universal web component: CarCutter’s Web Player. Our Web Player - whose main purpose is to display our industry-leading 360° Spin and HotSpots features - can now be integrated with any tech stack, from modern React applications to vanilla JavaScript websites. The development of this framework-agnostic component presents many opportunities for our customers, including the ability to digitally showcase their automotive inventory in modern, unique, interactive ways. Our Senior Front-End Engineer, Rémi Lux, wrote an article titled ‘One Media Player For Every Client: Building a Framework-Agnostic Component For Our Clients’ which explains the technical choices we made in the development of the Web Player. This past weekend, some of our Meero employees took on ‘La Course des Lumières’ - a 10km night running race through the streets of Paris. As a dedicated fundraiser for organizations fighting against disease and funding medical research, participants are affectionately known as ‘porteur de lumières’ or ‘bearers of light’ 🌟 Teams of runners from 400 companies all across France unified for this event, which demonstrates a global approach to disease prevention through the practice of physical activity.

In 2019, Meero was known globally as the leading photography marketplace, connecting freelancers with companies to deliver high-quality imagery for their visual merchandising efforts. Today, that core offering remains the same, but our delivery mechanisms have evolved into AI-powered, verticalized B2B SaaS solutions. As such, the tech that powers our product has also had to evolve. The rise of AI and LLMs has fundamentally transformed product development, requiring companies to rethink how they build and scale software, especially when AI is centric to their offering. At Meero, we’ve developed an internal AI & media processing platform that centralizes workflows and equips our engineering teams with essential tooling to iterate and go-to-market faster: a strategic advantage that empowers us to deliver top-tier AI solutions at scale. In his latest article, our Senior Product Manager, Clément Boutignon — who leads the development of Meero’s platform — speaks to the challenges, benefits and learnings that we’ve garnered in the process of building our platform to the robust, foundational product that it is today.
